The Back Alley Bar & Grill — Restaurant in St. Thomas

Normally we get the food to go but this week we decided to eat in. Restaurant was clean, service was good and food was awesome. We ordered the fish and chips dinner. I love their fish because there isn't a ton of batter, but I can not handle spice of any kind and they put a seasoning on both the fish and fries. The only thing that disappointed me was I ordered my dinner with no spice at all and hubby ordered his with spice. They brought both dinners with no spice "just so we didn't mix anything up" . Not too impressed with that. I don't think it's too tough to do one order with spice and one without but obviously it was a challenge for them. We will continue to eat here whether we take it home or eat there. I have also tried the perogies and they are delicious but their portion sizes are not consistent. I got this once and the order was a good size with about 15 perogies. A few weeks later I ordered them and only got about 8 and hardly any fried onions.

Would really love to give them a 5 star review because the food is quite delicious, but with these issues I have to knock...

The food wasn't bad, chicken was microscopic on the salad. They screwed up our reservations even after they told us they were only going to make them 'if it got busy'. Then tried to blame it on me when my friend who had made the reservations got their🤦‍♀️. The supervisor even sent the bouncer over to threaten me, who has only worked their two days and told me he was just doing what the supervisor told him to do.The supervisor also pours very sloppy tap drinks and they dont seem to use a standard size glass for draft beer. Kinda stinks too and no one makes sure cigarettes smokers stay away from the doors like they legaly should be. (9 meters) The main women bartender also tried taking money out of my friend purse too even tho my friend wanted to pay a bill at the end of the night. It also stank and the floors...

My mom raved about the fish and chips here. It was great! I had the wings and they were overcooked and Parmesan was grated on top and fell right off. Obviously not hot enough to melt the cheese. The wings were also bland. I've never added salt to wings ever, but I did there. The waitress left the room and didn't come back for over 10 mins. We had our dishes piled at the end of our table. We were looking for the bill but didn't see her. Other than that the waitress was attentive and brought condiments early. Might need an update in decor. The seats at the booth leaned toward the middle with two of us there. The seats were too far from the table. We had to sit on the edge of the seat to eat our food. The...
