When we moved to St. Thomas in January, we decided to try Your Fish and Chips for take-out and were not disappointed. The fish was flaky and extremely moist, the batter crispy, the chips fresh and the whole meal was HOT even after we brought it home. Tartar sauce, lemon wedge, and small paper container of ketchup included (sometimes one ketchup, sometimes two). Sometimes we got forks and napkins, sometimes we did not. It quickly became our Friday lunch treat that we looked forward to all week.

About 4 weeks ago something changed. The batter on the fish was mushy and started to stick to the paper they use to separate the fish from the chips. Hoping it was just a one off, we ordered again the next Friday. Same thing. Mushy batter. We tried one more time and again, mushy batter. Disappointed, we haven't ordered since. Not a lot of decisions to make, except how much you want to eat. The fries are hand cut fresh every day in the kitchen.. the kitchen is open you can see them prepare your food fresh when ordered. They only serve cod so decide how much you want to eat. They offer bread on the side, fresh lemon wedges, tartar sauce and Heinz ketchup. Canned soft drinks, coffee and tea are available to help wash it down. Been in service for forever so they are pros!! They are not open late , I think they close at 7pm daily so get there early or call ahead and order it to go. And be prepared they only accept cash, no debit or credit cards there. If you are looking for fish and chips, this place will not disappoint, with the menu having the confident simplicity of less than 10 items and only needing to ask you three questions "How much fish, do you want chips, and what do you want to drink"

And while their menu is small it makes up for it with fish and chips on an incredible level. The food was amazing, came out in less than 10 minutes and was inexpensive to boot.
