Came to Boston pizza. Was asked to put on my uniform or leave as my crop top wasn’t acceptable for dinner after I had already been there a half hour. During this time we got a drink that didn’t come for a really long time and appetizers. Then we ordered our food. The manager seen me and came up to me gave me my options to put on my uniform to cover up or leave, so I had to leave with my family. I left right away and had no problem leaving peacefully. We went to pay for the drinks we didn’t finish and for the appetizers we didn’t get to enjoy but then she refused to take our money as my husband and my above age 3 children all waited with him and manager caused a scene when we wouldn’t wait by the door for the food ordered that we didn’t receive and demanded we pay for that as well and wait for it to be ready. We made it clear that wasn’t going to happen and they proceeded to talk down to me and fight us on forcing us to pay for the food we did not receive. We absolutely did not. It got to a point where my husband and kids had to walk out. They recorded the whole situation from the counter onwards. She was on a power trip about being a manager and very unprofessional. Not once did she offer us to go to the bar side if my top made her uncomfortable or to move us which I’m not even mad about. In the moment she could have been working on the fly. This manager got too emotionally involved when she didn’t get her way and my husband wouldn’t pay for food we never received and he wasn’t waiting for food to be made to be stuffed in to go containers. I never seen someone act so unprofessional in a restaurant in my life. A few tables during that time got uncomfortable and paid and walked out and told us they were never coming back to this location. I put in a complaint to the bps and I got a response that was word for word protecting her in exactly what she would say to higher up and she wrote me back the email. I could tell it was her. I had to go higher up to put in a proper complaint about this establishment. I have come here many times wearing a lot less for tops as on my days off I often wear long satin skirts and crop tops that have sequins or flower or ruffle effects. Today it was a lot more basic more tube top style. Anyone wanting to see the video of her freaking out on my husband and not allowing us to pay please message me and I will gladly send it to you. Read moreI was really hungry and the food took forever, a couple besides got their order before us and we got there before them. I ordered a chicken sandwich and cactus fries, the whole thing was cold but I was hungry so decided to not complain and eat it like that, chicken was pink, not well cooked and chewy but again I thought to give it the benefit of the doubt and thought might be just the ends, as I kept biting was still pink and chewy and cold, 4 bites in total so I called the waitress and told her about it. She said : Well, I see half burger it’s gone but I will talk to my manager. Didn’t even apologized. Was just 4 bites, not half of it, in the meantime my husband was eating what he ordered and I waited 15 minutes to have an answer. She finally came back and said : I’ll take that out of your bill. That was it!!!!!! I was still hungry and not even asked if I wanted something else….. After 15 minutes I asked for the manager and she came after 10 and with a whatever attitude she said: So you wanted to talk to me?? When I explained her what happened she said: that’s weird, I took your meal out of the bill…… I said: Nobody offered me other options and I’m still hungry, my husband finished eating and I’m still waiting for someone to offer me other options. The manager said to me: I can make you something to go if you want…….. She didn’t get my point. I wanted to have dinner with my husband at the same time, he was done by then and he ordered the bill and they were charging us extras on the top of everything. Good thing I checked the bill. I ordered a sangria for my meal and was completely tasteless. We are not coming back ever again, we were very disappointed for what they charge and there was not accountability or anything that would show they would care, the managers attitude was not professional. Read moreOk... am a fairly regular customer to this location of Boston Pizza and most times my food experiences have been good and I don't really have many complaints regarding that. I will say there are and have been times where I find myself waiting awhile to be seated as there are times when there is no host/hostess around( even when the place is fairly empty and not busy). Aside from that.... which is a pretty minor gripe...I am mostly here to review and write about their Wi-fi. Now like I said earlier.....I have been coming here for awhile now and each time I have the same problem/issue regarding the Wi-fi internet that is offered here. The problem is that it never works for me and that included today's visit. When the serving staff as well as the management tell you face to face that their offered free wi-fi is terrible and barely ever works or is VERY SLOW...then you have a problem. I am a firm believer and advocate that if something is broken....or not working properly or as it should as intended then fix it! If you choose not to fix it and make it work then don't offer it at all. Regular staff and even the management somewhat have their hands tied with this as there is only so much that they can do( which is complain to the higher authority or relay our....the customer's experience and displeasure). So this message is to and for you Stony Plain Boston Pizza owner Fred.....please do something about your very bad and lack of wi-fi service that is offered....or in this case NOT! I have been to many restaurants( including other Boston Pizza locations) that offer free wi-fi and it WORKS! It really is possible to make it happen. There are only so many things that can keep wi-fi from not working or being effective and that is bad hardware/equipment.....poor placement of that said hardware/equipment or a combination of both. Fix the Wi-fi and this location will be deserving of a 5...
