We reserved for a group for a Friday night in case it was busy (book club holiday party, which we typically do in January) and it was not busy at all. We were offered drinks right away but only half of our party was there, so then we were ignored and when we asked if we could order an appie, the server seemed bothered by the request but then quickly cheered up. Our party arrived in spurts, the service was reasonable throughout our dinner and the food was quite good. However, around 8pm, we were the only table left and the staff started cleaning up and vacuuming. We double checked the hours and supposedly they are open until 12:30... but vacuuming continued for a good 20 to 30 minutes before one of our group asked them to please stop and asked if we could order dessert. Our server turned cranky again and tried to be cordial, but she was definitely bothered by our request. (Honestly, we are a group of mostly moms and nobody wanted to listen to a vacuum on our evening out. Why on earth would they clean the restaurant, 4 hours before closing, while there are still patrons?!?) Dessert was very good and a great price point. We paid our separate tabs and I can't say for sure how much everyone tipped, but then I overheard the server complaining to another staff member. We didn't let it ruin our night, but I can confidently say none of us will be dining...
Read moreAs it was Thanksgiving weekend, I thought I would treat myself for a turkey dinner. Well, I don’t know about treating myself because the meal was absolutely unacceptable especially Considering the price. I’ve been in the Food industry for 40 years worked all over the world in many kitchens so I know what I’m talking about. I asked when I went in there to order if the turkey was fresh turkey from the oven the waitress said yes it was, well it wasn’t. It was turkey roast, which comes in a roll. It also was cut as thin as tissue paper, only white dry meat. The stuffing well that’s another story. It was obviously heated up in the microwave because the edges were hard as a rock and dry. The vegetables were overcooked as you could see from the photograph. The Turkey gravy was a cross between beef and turkey. I guess they just use one gravy for all things. The pumpkin pie looked like it was Safeway pumpkin pie with cream on the side, which was canned cream, which when I got home it was just all watery. (Was not next to the warmed turkey roast) the full price with a 20% tip came to $32.69 waitress was great, Bernie Also to mention this was early around 4.pm and the restaurant was empty which is normal at this time. Yes it wasn’t thanksgiving day, but that’s no excuse. I’ve been here many times before this was the worst, Smarten...
Read moreI only got nachos. Was so disappointed. Was staying at the hotel. I went down to get a plate of nachos to take back to my room. They were terrible. The waitress greeted me and said she would phone my room when they were ready. About 13 minutes later she phoned. So excited I rushed down. Got back to my room opened them up. They were Luke warm if I was lucky. The chips tasted stale and gross. After about 5 chips (I was hungry) the cheese wasn't even melted. Didn't even look like and attempt. It honestly looked as if they were placed into the styrofoam take away container at microwaved. If I wanted that I could have gone to Safeway Across the street and done that myself in my room for half the price. And it was 330 in the afternoon with one person in the restaurant so it...
