As a long time customer of Tim Horton's restaurants I have experienced my fair share of service locations. This location is my favourite! We used to visit more frequently for breakfasts and lunches, but now with my husband's celiac diagnosis and my nut allergy the menu is simply not compatible with our needs. We still venture in often for tea or items for our children which is great, but I do wish outlets such as this better educated their staff on hygeine and allergen protacol. I realize that fast food outlets have a vast turnover of staff and it requires a great deal of retraining, but there are simple things that should be emphasized in a food service establishment. Firstly, change gloves between food service and money handling. I cannot count the number of times I have seen staff move from food prep to register and back again with the same gloves on. Secondly, wash your hands or use new gloves between orders at the till. The first person you serve could order a nutty doughnut and the second could be celiac or nut allergy getting a coffee. You handle their cup with the hand that was in the doughnut case and bam you have just made someone seriously ill. If you don't want to change your gloves that often then when a customer makes the request please don't look at them like they have just asked for a blood donation. I have days where I ask for new gloves or hand washing and the person is very accomodating and yet others where I get the eye roll and heavy sigh. I have even had instances where I get both if service is transfered from one person to another. Why should I be made to feel like a nusaince simply because I want to enjoy the few products available to me in a safe manner? To those that happily accomodated this request, thank you so much for being so considerate. To the others, I hope you never have to live with something that puts your health at risk every single day while you try to live a normal life like everyone else. To the mangement, in this day and age of serious food allergies you should make ALL staff aware of the proper courtesies and protocols involved in serving customers with these requests. I'm not lowering my rating because of these things it's the same behaviours I see at ALL locations, not just this one. This location just happens to be the best of the bunch and this is the one area where they still fall shorter than they need to. If they paid more attention to these things then they would get a higher rating from me and definitely gratitude from other's like me. I would like to give a massive shout out to an employee named Carol who has blonde hair and speaks with a British accent. Although there are many nice people at this location she really stands out! She has served me many times and she is never void of a smile or cheerful attitude. I'm sure she has the same life struggles as anyone else but you would never know it. She always gets the orders right and she is always more than happy to accomodate requests. My experience is always improved when Carol is serving! I think good service and a good attitude should be rewarded, so thanks Carol, your efforts are noticed and appreciated! Overall I would recommend this location, the food is good and the service for the most part...
Read moreCame here earlier today around 11am. The young girl in the drivethrough asked me 4 times in the span of 15 seconds if I would be paying with debit. I told her 3 times to hold on a sec because I was loading the app to redeem my points, as its illegal to be on your phone while driving so I waited to get to the window so I could open it while my vehicle was in park. She told me straight up that she kept asking me because there's a lineup behind me and that I needed hurry up. 15 seconds I was sitting there waiting for the app to open and to load my offers. Literally. I didn't even get a chance to load anything because she rudely rushed me by asking me over and over consecutively if I'd be using debit. The second I was done saying "one second please" she would immediately ask me again. You need to teach this young lady manners, patience, and proper customer service. I didn't end up using the app to redeem the points I was planning on using, which was the whole reason I came here in the first place. I just paid and drove off. What really topped it off was that they didn't even get my order right. Not impressed. After reading the other reviews on this location, I'd say the owners really need to step their game up and make some serious changes. They're giving Tim Hortons a bad name, and have driven away so many local customers because of continuous bad experiences at...
Read moreThird time something like this has happened… asked for my usual cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese (it’s a regular treat as I leave Spruce Grove headed west/home), and this time instead of getting the sweet taste the first time I bite into it, I taste asiago. Looking down at the bagel in my hand, I can see bright orange, where the bagel has been sliced in half. When I went back inside I was greeted with dismissive glances from the person who was asked to correct it (same person who did it in the first place.) Then she made exaggerated gestures to show me when she cut the bagel in half, and then when she applied the fresh cream cheese, and then when she cut it in half again. Lackadaisical in demeanour when she handed it to me avoiding eye contact and NO apology at any point. Next time I will make the effort to go to the one across the road even though it’s a bit out of my way heading west. If this had been the first occurrence like this, I wouldn’t have left a review but this is the third time something like this has happened (no idea who did it the other times) - where they are not cleaning their knives or spreaders in between. The last time I was half way to Wabamun before I noticed, because I went through the drive-through. This time was walk-in...
