First time coming here today after a friend's suggestion for lunch.

The portions here are big, but the price also reflects that.

I ordered #64 Black bean noodles with fried seafood, pork and $2 for an egg. You get two bowls, one way the noodles and an egg and the other the black bean sauce with onions, seafood, and minced pork. Please be aware that if you do end up ordering this dish, that it does come with a lot of raw white onions. After a while, I did feel the spiciness/acid that comes from the big pieces of raw white onion.

As someone still new to Korean food, I wouldn't necessarily order from this place again unless I knew what I was ordering. The fried chicken that I tried, was a bit on the dry side (comes with sauce on the side), I also tried the one in sauce and to be honest, it tasted fatty. Maybe too much coating on the outside. I had a piece and it did taste dry and stringy, possibly from it being deep fried.

Overall, not sure if I would recommend this place. I definitely need to try different things on the menu to make a more concise review. However, with the price and big portions it's going to take me a while for that. One thing I did notice for the Monday to Friday is they do have specials; so perhaps try and get that menu to experience more dishes here.

Also be aware that if you come here with a group of 8 or more, they will automatically add 18% to everyone's bill. They did not mention this when they brought the credit card machine to us or were we able to look at the bill. So everyone on my table ended up tipping more on-top of the 18% tip. To be fair, they do have this printed in the menu for groups of 8 or more, but they definitely should remind us once they bring us the bill. Not the best experience.

In terms of parking, there's lots of free spots in the lot.

Edit: Came back April 29 (2 weeks from originally going there the first time). This time the wait is still long. I even saw a few people get fed up and walked off.

I think I ordered #74 (shrimp fried rice with black bean sauce). It was much better then the black bean noodles I got last time. My friend keeps reminding me that this is a "Korean/Chinese fusion restaurant". To be honest, it was a much better experience this time. Besides the wait, the food was good and service was prompt. We had to order the food when we were waiting outside though, so that could have possibly added to the faster service. Also, since I came with a big group again, they bypassed the extra tip and just got us to pay the intended price (with tip included). Definitely a better experience this time around. Some items on the menu are still a bit pricy, but you can't really complain considering the food portions are bigger.

I added a star to reflect the better service this time. Definitely a must visit if your ever in the area, just be prepared to wait as they...

Me and My friends 4 of us order over 6 dishes there, we asked to have kimchi as side dishes, the waitress told us this Korean restaurant don't have kimchi. Which is super strange for 4 of us to hear, then we noticed 3 table besides us have served with 4 side dishes include kimchi. After we told the server we noticed her lie, there is kimchi available, she came back toss food on our table and left with only 3 sets of utensils for 4 of us to use...then when we called the manager, she try to find excuses for "misunderstanding", saying we didn't order certain dishes to allow to have kimchi as side dishes...we then show her the empty dish we just finished that was the same dish that she claim requirement to have kimchi as side dishes. This is not misunderstanding...this is unprofessional staffs who has biased attituded towards Chinese customer. It is not about we only get 2 same side dishes, this is about how the server and manager there treating customers differently and try to find excuses when they get caught on lying. The owner of the restaurant should be noticed how unprofessional and rude the server there treating Chinese customers. Been to so many Korean restaurants in coquitlam, this place just so bad with server, cant believe saw the misinformed owner respond and standby this rude and unprofessional staff. Please check your camera foortage, we talk to your staff very nicely, asked her why we treated differently. Previous reviews are done by my friends who are on the same table with me, i was not thinking need to post anything, untill i saw the owner responses blame my friends and describe them as the unresonable and rude. Now I felt I need to point out, the owner offering $50 meal credit to ask us to remove negative comment wont pass for us. We want an appology, not just simply accept hush money and delete coments. Four of us all have our personal account to leave a review, so far only 3 of us left comments, if the owner keep paint us as the bad customers, the 4th guys will come forward to express how he felt about this ugly dine in...

I have been to this restaurant regularly since its inception in Fraser Heights. It normally has good food, prompt service, and friendly, attentive staff. However, today, I brought two friends and was wholly disappointed by the poor service and food quality. In brief: When we were seated and a waitress came to our table, we indicated that we were ready to order. The waitress turned her back, walked away without a word, and did not return. Another waitress served us ~10 minutes later In general, throughout the service, the wait staff seemed like they were trying to avoid us. For example, I had three requests to make of a waitress, and told her as such. She tried to walk away after each hearing request. Water jug was frequently empty throughout the dinner despite us trying to get it filled. Oil tasted like it hasn't been changed in too long. Oil temperatures were too high, or something was wonky with their deep frying process: chicken was dessicated while batter was raw. Overall very greasy. We asked for a mild version of the spicy seafood soup. What was brought back was exactly as spicy as usual. When this issue was brought up with the waitress, she denied that, declined to taste it, and refused to remake it. Kimchi not up to standard of previous visits. We were asked, when paying the bill, if the food was good. I indicated that it was not up to standard. There was no reply, simply silence.

In recognition of the numerous times I've been here without a hitch, four stars on balance, and I hope that next time will be a return to normal. I will edit this...

Chuihong Korean Chinese Restaurant in BC is a hidden gem that offers a unique fusion of Korean and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, but don't let its unassuming exterior fool you – the food here is absolutely delicious. The menu at Chuihong features a wide range of dishes, including Korean-style Chinese noodles, dumplings, stir-fry dishes, and soups. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the food. The standout dish at Chuihong is the jjajangmyeon, a Korean-style black bean noodle dish that is a popular staple in Korean Chinese cuisine. The noodles are chewy and flavorful, and the black bean sauce is rich and savory, making for a satisfying and comforting meal. The restaurant also serves other variations of jjajangmyeon, such as spicy and seafood versions. The service at Chuihong is friendly and efficient, and the staff are happy to make recommendations if you're not sure what to order. The restaurant is cozy and casual, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Overall, Chuihong Korean Chinese Restaurant in BC is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Korean Chinese cuisine. The food is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.
