Update (changed to 3 star from 2): was contacted by a fellow named Mark by phone regarding this review. He explained there must be a glitch in the system when ordering online because the location does in fact have the vegan chorizo but it doesn’t site up online as a topping option. I have received a credit for the full price of the pizza now.
TLDR: no vegan chorizo here as advertised on the window, will only be credited $2 for the missing topping if you try order the new gourmet thin crust pizza with vegan chorizo
This is my tale: Whenever I order pizza at this location, I always order online. Today we were excited to try the vegan chorizo gourmet thin pizza, specifically to try the new plant based protein option as advertised. So I ordered the pizza online, only making the alteration of easy on the Daiya cheese as we generally do. I selected the recipe pizza, figuring that as advertised it would come with the vegan chorizo, sundried tomato, and Daiya cheese. So I take the order home, happy to be eating soon. Guess what: no chorizo. Only sundried tomato and a sprinkle of Daiya. When I called the restaurant and explained what happened to the gentleman on the phone, my call was transferred to customer service. I once again explained what happened and proceeded to be told that as this location didn’t have the chorizo at this time I could be credited… $2 for the missing topping… I explained politely that I would have gotten a different pizza had I known there was no chorizo, so I would like to be credited $8.99 for the pizza that we were not satisfied with. He reiterated: $2 for the missing topping. ANY OTHER pizza place Would credit for a free 2 topping pizza at least as then at least you have a return customer. The clincher (which I also told the customer service rep): the pizza I ordered is advertised ON THE WINDOW of the location. Friendly piece of advice: don’t advertise something you don’t have. Anyone would assume that a recipe pizza would come with the advertised toppings, and not double check the toppings selected in trust of the system. Won’t be ordering here again anytime soon which stinks because we have really enjoyed having a vegan friendly pizza place so close to home.
2 stars because the Hawaiian pizza and plant based nuggets...
Read moreI don't post bad reviews often, but I feel like the owners need to change their approach or at least something needs to be done.
The first time I ordered there, I waited along with a ton of people -outside- the place for our order because they were backed up. Even though we had waited longer than 30 minutes, our orders weren't free. But whatever, the food was passable. I didn't want to make things worse for the poor workers behind the counter.
Today, however, we received a flyer in the mail saying that stuffed crust was now available. My partner and I decided to order online for pickup. We placed an order for two pizzas, and a sandwich combo. A couple of minutes later, we get a phone call from the place saying that they didn't have the cheese to make the stuffed crust pizza, whatever that means. So we had regular pizzas instead. We were disappointed because the only reason we ordered was for the stuffed crust that had been advertised at our door, and available online for our order, but whatever, it is what it is, right?
We picked up our pizzas, they reimbursed the difference, and we headed home.
The Sandwich was SUPER small and tasted horrible. The 'chikn' was burnt. My fries were dry and hard. The sauce was thick and tasted like plastic. And our pizzas were sub par. I decided to finally leave a review because my second bite of pizza tasted like MOLD. You know the type of mold you can taste on bread if you leave it out on the counter too long? Yeah, that. So I threw the thing away. That was the worst $70 spent on take out ever for our family.

Read moreI know pizza pizza gets a lot of hate on the east coast, but to be honest the pizza from this particular branch is pretty amazing. I ordered from ubereats an XL Hawaiian (yes I ❤️ pineapple on pizza) and added some extra toppings: chicken shawarma and roasted red peppers.
Pizza was huge and toppings tasted great! The pineapples on this pizza were pretty large compared to other Hawaiian pizzas from other pizza joints, which isn’t a bad thing. 🍍
I also liked the tamper proof box idea that the pizza came in. It gives me a peace of mind that apart from the pizza chefs who made my pizza, I’m the only one who gets dibs on it…I guess it’s kinda like a chastity belt for pizzas.
It tastes somewhat similar to fresh slice pizza but I would probably rate this franchise higher than fresh slice pizza.
Oh yea they also give you the option to choose your crust type as well as cook doneness which is excellent. I recommend choosing well done if you plan to add a lot of toppings so you can avoid...
