Church's Chicken — Restaurant in Surrey

UPDATED: 3 years ago I gave this location 5 stars, but now I don't even want to go back there ever again.

Quality is very inconsistent Spicy chicken is NOT spicy whatsoever (speaking from someone who sweats from eating Miss Vicky's jalapeno chips) Chicken is often overcooked, darkened, and drenched in oil Chicken is always dry Chicken is smaller than the Richmond locations They barely give you any fries for a 3pc special None of the staff ever got trained on how to make Fire Chicken throughout the entire 3 or 4 months period of the promotion, even though they still put the poster on their window. In case you don't know, this was a limited time flavor they added last year, and is no longer available (for now at least). Meanwhile the Blundell location had Fire Chicken on the first day.

This is not a one time experience. For the past 2 years, I still go to this location at least once every 2 months, literally just to see if they've improved their quality. Sadly the answer is no, and is getting worse because of the reasons listed above. Their quality has decreased so much at this point that I'd rather wait a week until I get an opportunity to go to one of the Richmond locations rather than filling my empty stomach here (

Went in yesterday for lunch and was less than pleased . The staff need to be trained or retrained on safety/sanitization as well as food quality . The photo shows a rolled up mat outside the ladies room a severe tripping hazard in the washroom there was no paper towels and the hand dryer was not working (with no sign on it) . There was plenty of tables dirty . The food has gone completely down holl over the years. Yesterday's was over cooked and the gravy was basically flavored water I've never seen it so runny . Upon leaving we let a lady at the front know there was no towels in the ladies room and that the tables needed cleaning . It took her a minute or two to realise what we were talking about and he responce was "the next shift starts at 4 they will clean then" . We left the establishment at 2:45pm . Its unacceptable to leave a mess not only for the next staff members but also for that extended amount of time . People will opt to eat at other restaurants if simple and proper procedures are not followed especially when the country is coming out of a pandemic. Baised on the mess visable upfront I am horrified to think of the state they keep the food...

Church's Chicken pricing is now ridiculous. You'll never get fair value. Menu and combinations have completely been changed. This location will not accept competitor coupons. Shift supervisor was no no no in attempting to save a few bucks. Called another Church's location while there. They would accept KFC or competitor coupons - Truth.

Asked for the manager, told she was gone. Turns out she was standing in the back breading pieces watching everything.

Decided to go to KFC instead paid 32 something with tax for a 14 piece mixed bucket extra large fries, large fries, large gravey. Can do attitude. Put it this way, for comparable amount of mixed chicken, fries gravey you'd be paying well over 60 plus dollars with this Churches location. It's cheaper to dine in at Wings.

No idea how too justify Churches new cost structure. Not pleased with the attitude of the shift supervisor at all.
