I came in through drive thru and I ordered an Oreo blizzard with extra Oreo. I was happy to receive this Oreo blizzard. Unfortunately the joy of receiving this Oreo blizzard did not last long. I found 3 long hairs in my Oreo blizzard. This was a major inconvenience to me as I had to drive all the way back to Dairy Queen, wait in a long line only to be disrespected by the employee at the window. I explained to her in a calmly fashion as to what I found in my Oreo blizzard. She was unconvinced that there was any hair in my Oreo blizzard. I told her that after discovering the first hair,I put part of the hair on the side of the cup so she could have a better look of what I found. Her response was “that’s impossible” as she rolled her eyes. Then she proceeds to say “no need to be mad about this” & to top it off she also states “we don’t normally give refunds”. I found this to be very disrespectful and although she did end up returning my money, she handed me the money while I was still speaking. Essentially what she did here was rude because she only handed me my money just to shut me up. I worked in the fast food industry(McDonald’s) before and I have numerous experience with unhappy customers. I have also experienced my fair share of customers who lie to receive a free meal. However, this was not the case for me. If the situation was turned around and I received me as a customer today. I would have actually taken the time hear my customers concerns and figure out if there was a way that would satisfy the customer. I would never try and fight with a customer. I would give them a chance to hear out their case. I would have given a full refund with a replacement Oreo blizzard. I would have actually examined the Oreo blizzard before disregarding the claims. ( The employee should have at least looked at the Oreo blizzard before throwing it out & she shouldnt put away the replacement Oreo blizzard ). I only took one bite of my Oreo blizzard before I discovered hair in my mouth. (And she had the audacity to tell me not to be mad). Then upon further investigation did I find 2 more. I wear the hijab and my Oreo blizzard was still full, there was no way I had taken off my hijab, ripped out “straight hair” and put the “straight hairs” in my Oreo blizzard just to return a full cup of an Oreo blizzard. That would have been a waste of time for everybody.
If I remember clearly, I came to order an Oreo blizzard not blatant disrespect
I wasted a good 50minutes throughout this whole driving back and forth. The staff here need to learn how to speak to customers respectfully, they need to learn how to speak to human beings. My god, what a waste of time. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life. If it were up to me I would replace the entire staff. This isn’t the first time I was mistreated + unhappy by the service from this Dairy Queen. This is just the first time I’m speaking out about by far the most disrespectful experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would’ve. 0/10 would not...

I had been planning a special event, and decided to order an ice-cream cake from Dairy Queen as they are usually quite good. I placed my order two days in advance as I needed a special image placed on the cake. The day of pick up, I drove to the Dairy Queen I had ordered the cake at, which is on 9436 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC V3V 5W3. I went in and let them know I was here to pick up my cake. A few of the employees went in the back for a few minutes and came out to let me know that they had not made my cake. I was frustrated as I had given them more than enough time by ordering it two days in advance, but I gave them an opportunity to make it right. The worker went back to work on creating the cake. A few minutes later, she came out again and told me they didn’t have any purple icing, which I had requested on the cake. I told her that I had ordered the cake with purple icing, and that I didn’t want a different colour. She went to the back again and completed the cake. When she brought it out, 30 minutes later, the cake was an absolute mess. She didn’t follow ANY of the instructions I had written in my online order and it was extremely sloppy. The “purple” frosting was a mix of a few different colours that weren't even mixed in properly, the cake itself was melting and overall, it was terrible. I let her know I wasn’t paying $51.00 for a rushed job and she can either make it right, or I will go elsewhere. At this time I also asked to speak with the manager and she informed me that he was not in that evening. she went to the back and another 30 minutes later came out with a cake that still looked bad. At this point I was frustrated with fighting and decided to take it. I did however let her know that I will not be paying full price for this cake as it was not ready when I came to pick it up and it was done sloppily. A few minutes after this the manager came out of the back to speak with me. This ensues that she was lying to me about her manager not being in. As a customer who is about to spend $51 on a cake the least you could do is be honest to me and let me speak with your manager instead of lying and saying that he was not in. This instance ruined the entire celebration event we had scheduled and made me never want to return to a Dairy Queen again. The blatant disrespect and disregard for customers' time and money is an extremely off-putting and unattractive business practice. All in All I spent 1 hour waiting for my cake to be made (although I had placed the order days in advanced and gave ample time to complete it), $39.99 on a cake that was made sloppily and incorrectly and I had to endure to disgusting attitude of Amandeep (the associate who...
