Came here today for the second time with my fam. First time I came here wasn’t the best but wanted to give them another try since it was closeby.

Food was just okay if you compare with other Filipino restaurants in surrey.

Service today was BAD. Server took too long to come to our table to take our order. When food came, she did not even check on us if our food was okay or if we needed anything else. I had to go up to the counter to ask for things.

What happened next really irritated us. After we finished our food, we stacked up the dirty plates near the edge so the server can easily take them. I called the server over to order desserts (different server from the one who took our food order, first server was on break I think). We were expecting her to take the dirty plates after she took our dessert orders, since she’s going back towards the kitchen anyways, but she didn’t bother. She just left them on the table.

When she came back with the desserts, this time I was really expecting her to take the dirty plates because we wanted to eat dessert with a clear table like in any other restaurants. But she didn’t! She dropped off the desserts and started to walk away. The dirty plates were clearly right in front of her! So when she started to walk away, I got her attention and asked her if she can take the dirty plates away. She gave us attitude and said “if you guys want to sit at a clean table, you can move to the other table”. Then she took one stack of the dirty plates and left the other stack on the table. We were shocked by her attitude and that she suggested us to move with our desserts instead of just clearing the dirty plates on our table. I thought she would come back for the other stack right away but she didn’t until about 10 minutes later when we were done eating the desserts.

To top all that, we were the only customers in the restaurant!!!

Food is decent at best. Although the point I was disappointed was with the Crispy Pata I ordered to go. First off, I got my food not even warm, not even the bone. That tells me that it wasn't fried-to-order and that it has likely been sitting for who knows how long, and worse, likely not even in a proper warmer. This of course affected the texture of the food as it wasn't as good. Secondly, it didn't even taste all that good. I had their fried tilapia which tasted good and I can tell it was fried-to-order so I decided to try their Crispy Pata only to get sorely disappointed which I don't understand how it doesn't taste as good as fried fish. And lastly, it came already chopped which I should have requested to keep it all intact. This isn't a problem in itself but OG knows how this dish has always been served. Frankly I doubt I even got a whole hock. If this is how they really serve this dish then go somewhere else! You'll just get bits of meat (not even good ones mind you) and skin, and then a big bone which you're not really gonna eat. Ano ba naman yan mga kabayan. Kaya wala tayong kaunlaran eh.

So for those of you who wants to try this dish remember to request to keep the hock intact i.e. not chopped, as firstly, it is part of the experience to see it whole and you tear it apart yourself, and secondly, you'll get more value of what you paid for since you can guarantee you're getting a whole hock and not just bits and pieces (hopefully not of leftovers from previous days or even from previous meals especially!) and a...

We went to this restaurant craving for karekare & NiLAGA ( meat stew & meat with soup dishes). When our food arrived we had to stir it around to look for the pieces of meat! I swear there were only 3 tiny pieces of meat in the Kare Kare & not to mention the veggies were also MIA! They tried to justify this dish by loading up the sauce & hoping nobody would notice. I got frustrated with the portion size & the lack of meat & veggies so I called the server to make a complaint all he did was give a dumbfounded look and never even tried to remedy our complaint. Most reputable restaurants would do good for the customer's sake but I guess this restaurant doesn't care & doesn't have the customer service they should have!! If I'm going to pay over $25 per dish I better have enough meat in there!!!! It wasn't even good enough for one person let alone two people! I noticed that the famous vlogger BECOMING FILIPINO was invited to dine there and he vlogged the food and the serving size they gave him was abundant! So I guess you have to be famous to get good service, and a fair portion of meat in the dishes you order. We will definitely not be coming back to this place & won't be recommending this place. I challenge the managers & or owners to contact me if they even want to improve their reputation as a Filipino Restaurant.
