Accessibility Information - This review was prepare by my Social Studies 9 class after a site visit and an interview with the manager.
We found the Tim Horton's on Fraser Hwy to be a well managed facility with many accessible accommodations for people with physical limitations. To start with the accessibility for arriving: We found there is a very large parking space for wheel chair access right next to the ramp to get to the door. When you reach the door there is a button that automatically opens the door and it is at a reachable height. Moving on to the indoor accommodations. The entrance is a little bit tight but it moves directly towards the express line that helps people who need assistance. While we were there we noticed that their was someone with a motorized wheelchair. She had enough space to maneuver and sit comfortably but it was a tight fit for her to get out when the facility is busy. The bathroom has no automatic buttons to open the door and is a little bit heavy for someone who only has arm strength, however the space between the two bathrooms is big enough to have someone help open the door with space to spare. The counters and appliances where at an appropriate height to use properly. The toilets featured an accessibility bar that can help people get up and down. Overall we believe that this establishment is a well accessible location for people with physical limitations. And thank you to the employees who were very willing to answer questions and help us...
Read moreSunday May 22, 2022. This is the worst Tim Hortons I've ever been to. I've never written a review of any place before, but my experience there was nothing short of vile and unacceptable. I wanted to cancel my order and pay with a gift card and the cashier refused. Then some other guy came and said "We can't do that right now." So I said, "you can't refund or cancel the order, or you just can't do it right now?" He said he can't. So I said okay, the order has not been made, I just tapped my card, and he said no and walked away while I was talking to him. To make matters worse, when my order was completed, one of the servers threw it on the counter and said nothing. I waited for some time and asked another guy to check on the order, he quickly dismissed me and said when it's done, I will know. I continued waiting, customer after customer got through and left me there. I asked the same man who told me I couldn't get a refund to check on my order, he walked away without even acknowledging me. I said, is it because I'm black, why no one is paying attention to me. The first lady who threw down my order came back 15+ minutes later and lifted the bag and said to the cashier why didn't she give the order out. By this time everything inside is cold. I felt so HUMILIATED, I walked out and left. I'm done with micro aggressions.
AS SOON AS MY GIFT CARD IS FINISH I WILL NEVER PURCHASE AT A TIM HORTONS AGAIN,...
Read moreWhy are the iced capps filled so terribly at Tim hortons. I remember many years ago they would fill up the icecapps all the way to the top. Employees are now expected to fill it to a particular level, which is quite low. The current standard filling is terrible. Iced capps are also really expensive. Imagine paying money to a poorly filled drink. Does anyone else experience this problem?
I was told there was a change to Tim Hortons standard filling procedure. The icecapps to be filled to standard are to meet the rim of the cup. Employees are required to only film them to the fourth line on the cup and then whip for 15 seconds. This will make the mixed liquid reach only the rim of the cup. It will not go up into the lid as it used to.
Why did they change their standard filling procedure? On a lucky day some employees are generous enough to fill it up all the way to the top, but most abruptly refuse. Can Tim Hortons please go back to the good old days when the iced capps were filled all the way to the top. The photos above show iced capps I got on two different days at the same location. One day it was filled all the way to the top and the next day it was poorly filled. Tim Hortons needs to...
