Normally, I would never eat at a place like this. As a professional chef, I usually avoid fast food at all costs. But to my surprise, the pizza was hot, fresh and delicious. Customer service was decent. The counter person seemed capable, properly trained and did her job to a level society has become accustomed to with minimum wage employees. Nothing exceptional about her service yet nothing wrong with it - aside from a general feeling of dis-interest eminating from her. I would have rated this place 5 stars but it really annoyed me how unbearably hot it was inside of this place. As I stated, I am a professional chef and had my work kit with me as I had just left my work place. I pulled my thermometer out of my kit and checked the temperature. 43 degrees Celsius!!! It is a mild September evening outside. Maybe 15 degrees Celsius at best. Every customer walking through the door was instantly coated in their own sweat. An absolutely disgusting environment to dine in. It was bad enough that condensation had started to form on the ceiling and drip down on me. I mentioned how hot it was to the person at the counter and she agreed. At that point, I would have thought she'd have the sense to deal with the situation... Open the door for a few minutes, adjust the thermostat/AC, etc. But nope! She just let all the customers continue to enjoy their delicious pizza in a humid, disgusting and unbearable environment. You can train your staff to the best of your ability, but if they have no common sense they might as well just stay at home.
Great food, nice and clean and definitely a pleasant surprise in terms of food quality. Just stop hiring morons for your...

Pizza was excellent. Quality product, no complaints about food, if you want a great pizza, you'll get one.
The problem started while waiting for my order. I witnessed 3 separate people walk in and order, one of them even ate inside. Afterwards, they each asked where the washrooms were, two of them were lied to, and told that the resteraunt didn't have washrooms. Which is a lie, illegal if true, and just plain disrespectful to those two asking. The third who ate inside was just told "we don't offer them to customers. It's something we've never done."
After my order was ready I asked to speak with the manager, about the disrespectful behavior from staff, who informed me, "she cannot make decisions". At which I said, "Oh, sorry, I had asked for the manager" to which she replied "yeah that's me!" Like it was some kind of sick joke. When I followed up by letting her know it was the reason I wouldn't be back, she had the nerve to tell me, that it "wouldn't effect her". She's probably correct, little picture. But hopefully whoever the real manager of these places is, who's job depends on the staff serving customers instead of denying them services, wakes up and sees the collateral damage.
A visit from a health inspector over no wash space or place to clean your hands in a foodservice establishment will probably...
Read moreUnfortunately google does not have negative starts which this place deserves. Location charges for catch up on pizza while other Uncle Fatih's places in Vancouver do not. Not only they are not fair, but also they do not accept their mistake. Bunch of my friends and relatives have been to other branches in Vancouver, Kitsilano Broadway street, 7th and Cambie, Nelson street in Downtown Vancouver and Broadway at Commercial Drive none of them charge for catch up, hot sauce and Garlic sauce. These guys at Surrey Center do and claim that other branches do as well to justify their greed. Business needs some ethic but this location does not possess it. They also made mistakes to their favour which I took it easy but now I am convinced they were trying it deliberately to earn a few more dollars. They were charging me $13.99 for small pizza which was priced $7.99 and I made them to correct it, and at the end they were quiet to see if I ask for pop, and once I mentioned it should come with the pop, they said "oh yes". And at the end they completed their collection by saying catch up costs $0.75 per pizza. I had 2 pizzas. With all I saw today, I do not think they are brave enough to accept their mistakes so there will be no hope for correction and so I won't be checking them any more nor encourage any one to get there. I do not need their...
