Great food Tragic service! The food is excellent for the price point, unfortunately the service is terrible. I have grabbed take out here at least a couple dozen times. I go back for the food. Every time I go I have to repeat my order even pointing to the items I want. I see other customers struggling as well. Today I was referred to as a prick in Cantonese, I am a polite person.. They always speak in Cantonese referencing there customers right in front if them assuming there customers do not understand. I feel like I am dealing with the soup Nazi in Seinfeld when I go there! If you have a thick skin and can deal with terribly rude service but good food I reccomend them. I am on the hunt for a different Chinese takeout establishment though. Post Script. A few weeks ago they were oddly closed for and I quote " Plumbing Repairs"?? I call BS, I have worked in restaurants for twenty years and know a food inspection closure when I see one. They were likely closed due to an inspection for lack of cleanliness. Rotation was not likely an issue as they do a high volume of business in a high volume location. I can assume this issue has been dealt with for now.. Old habits die hard, again the food is good but I am shopping for a new Chinese spot as I am tired of rude and inept service. TOP KINGS is the kind of place if all you're after is your typical Chinese eats however, if youre looking to impress a date, or future employee, if you're looking for table service, anything above basic minimum customer service, or cleanliness, then my friends in my opinion TOP KINGS is not the place for you.

You place your order at the counter and they serve your choice meals right then & there in styrofoam containers.. For a menu example, my Husband and I always get the same thing... We SHARE the combo with "Chow Mein and then our choice of 2 more items which are Sweet & Sour Pork and Fried Rice" for $8.25 and our bellies are content!! Where can you find large portions of Chinese food at a relatively decent price in Surrey? Top King Restaurant is one of the very few places. Nothing fancy but serves some common dishes. This is a purely take-out restaurant with combo and dinner menu. They also have party trays for order. With regard to service, it's pretty straight forward as much as their language barrier will allow. The service staff works fast and prefers it that way from what i have noticed. The first time I came here the service staff got annoyed at the people before me as they were taking their time in deciding what they wanted. Quickly learning from those individuals I immediately adapted a "pick fast, keep side stepping down the line, and don't dare change my mind" for fear or the Seinfeld "no soup for you!" kinda thing.
