Riya's Family Dining — Restaurant in Swift Current

I'm basing my rating on tonight's experience. My group was there yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was great the waitresses were nice. However, tonight was the complete opposite experience! The special was the buy one burger get second half price. So all 4 of us ordered burgers. When we ordered we were the only table in there other than 1 guy. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food. I've been a cook for many years and never has it taken me 30 minutes to cook 4 burgers and fries. When we finally got our food every burger was a different size. The bacon Mac and cheese burger was burnt, plus the Mac and cheese was literally just plain cooked noodles with 1 slice of cheese on top, and it came with crispy onions but there was 1 chunk of it that was so hard I couldn't even bite it. I ended up eating a BLT on a burger bun. The person who ordered the burger with an over easy egg had runny whites. Egg was not cooked properly. And the other person's burger bun was grilled black! We eat what we can after a long day of work and get up to pay. The waitress sees us standing there waiting to pay and brings the bill. I notify her it's all separate bills. Well then she couldn't split it because her computer system wouldn't allow to separate the bills. So she was going to try and figure it out manually. The first person up to pay had the cheapest burger on the menu and she was going to charge her $23 or $26 dollars at first. Then she realizes it's wrong. Then she figures out more numbers on the calculator and asks us if $19.50 each is correct? How were we supposed to know! We don't work there! Finally she gets smart and takes the total of the bill and divides it by 4 to get the correct amount.

It's up to you if you take a chance going there. It seems to be a hit and miss type of place. I for one will be VERY hesitant to go back...

Best Place in Swift Current! We have never been disappointed at Riya's. Each visit we receive great food, excellent service in a warm, friendly atmosphere. It is always a tough decision when ordering as everything tastes great! You have to try THE best loaded potato soup or a homemade burgers in addition to salads, wraps, pastas, chicken, steaks, seafood,.. yes you will definitely something you like. In fact 5 of us enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner celebration at Riya's last night. We should have known our entrees of steak, burger and ribs, all cooked to perfection, and the generous portions of tasty side dishes would yet again leave no room to try some desserts. We did manage to share a piece of very tasty cheese cake in honour of the 3 birthdays. Thinking it will be best if we just meet for coffee at some point in order to try the awesome looking cakes or homemade...

My husband and I decided to splurge and go to what once was our favorite place to eat .. we used to love the brunch buffet and typically couldn't eat all that was to offer...we were so so disappointed and wondered if it was under new ownership ...we didn't recognize any one working there .the food was inedible over cooked ,over spiced , a few of the food labels had fallen off so we just picked from visual.....ham was smothered in some kind of mustard sauce....you could t taste the ham....spring rolls ? We aren't sure was just a bite of overcooked pastry ...I think the only thing we could eat was the bacon.....the wait staff were in sweat pants, grey!..one guy was shuffling around in those Adidas flip flops things and socks....as we paid I noticed a kitchen staff handling the food with fingers ....we will not be...
