This KFC location is so disconnected from quality service that I wish the head company would step in and speak to the local management in KFC Sydney River... very slow, ignoring customers, and unhelpful!
The biggest complaint I have is that I went in yesterday looking for a couple gift certificates.... I ask for $20, $25, or $50 certificates and the girls (foreign workers.. sorry, but little grasp of English) and they had no clue what I was talking about.
They proceeded to get the manager (also foreign worker) who pretended to look under the counter quickly glancing at the other workers throwing his hands in the air and said "nah we don't have gift certificates" shook his head... and just left without another word.... what kind of franchises are you operating now in Cape Breton.. just terrible !!!!!
I know they must have gift certs.. don't all KFCs, MacDonald's, etc have them now.... I know I've seen them at Walmart argggg... it'll be a long time...

All she wanted was an exchange and the lady at the counter refused- even after saying it was clearly rotten. It was brown. This woman hadnât touched her food so just asked for a refund and yet was still refused. Every day they can comp a customer for a mistake with free food or whatever, but in a situation where a woman doesnât want to give her children clearly compromised food and drink nothing can be done? The juice was brown and stunk, she offered me to see for myself to out of curiosity I did- and she wasnât wrong at all. I walked out, customers are what keep these establishments in business so serving them bad product is terrible. The owners should definetly be checking in on the staff- Iâd be mortified if my staff were letting bad product out the door and blatantly telling the PAYING...

When I asked for her name, she actually said, âI donât have a name.â At that moment, the manager came over and continued to respond to my complaint with a mocking attitude. Not only did they not address it properly, but they also said my complaint was âfunny.â Yes, you heard that rightâthe manager on duty actually said my complaint was âfunnyâ and then said, âIf you have a problem, just go complain on the official website. Iâm the manager, my name is Basil, and we donât care!â My goodness, is this what KFC is like now? Not only do they disrespect customers, but they also mock their complaints!
