Subway — Restaurant in Sydney River

This used to be my favourite subway in town. Now, however, if you go in to order from the counter it's ridiculous because they place a far higher priority on online/doordash orders than they do to customers waiting in-store to order. I went in tonight with my son - we were 4th in line, and the people in front of us ordered a single item each... Yet it took a full 30 minutes to get our sandwiches. During that time they must've made at least 20 subs for online purchases. Even when we finally got to order, the people making our food were constantly waiting for the staff making online orders to be out of the way so that they could reach ingredients.

I'm all for online ordering, and do it all the time personally - but as a restaurant you need to be able to actually accomodate those orders without making it a PITA to customers there in person. When I'm in a hurry rushing kids between events from now on, I'll...

The cost of a sub sandwich is very high, and the quality of the ingredients is quite low. The texture of the deli meat is very mushy, which is not appetizing. The amount of meat on the sandwiches has also reduced to the point where you need to get double meat just to be able to taste it, and this also costs more. The staff are kind and helpful. Staff is kept talking, preparation and packing with broken hands, roughly packed, i asked 3 to 4 times for extra grilled don't even pay attention, kept talking about money and future, doesn't pay attention on customers need and proper service.
