Visited this restaurant a few weekends ago as I wanted to try their lobster roll, and I had seen the decent reviews. My initial impression of the restaurant was that the lighthouse centrepiece was kind of interesting, but the overall vibe is a bit off with the amount of open space and the layout in general. However, that doesn't really matter at the end of the day in this case. I tried two seasonal cocktails - a fall variation of a Aperol spritz and a pumpkin spice white Russian. The spritz was nice but tasted similar to the standard recipe. The seasonal white Russian was absolutely delicious. As for the food, it was just meh. The lobster roll had a good amount of meat, but I just didn't find it very flavourful. The chowder was not good at all - it was fishy in taste, and I suspect that they may be using frozen mixed seafood packs in the chowder; at least, that's what it tasted like. Overall, not worth the $110+ that I spent (lobster roll, side chowder, 3 drinks). I am not a local, and I have been on a mission to find a decent lobster roll in this town - I haven't found one. Foodies beware: Sydney leaves much to be desired with their restaurant scene.

I had a pleasant dining experience here, but unfortunately, I did have a case of food poisoning because of it, which dropped my review to 1 star. The server was nice and helped my table decide our orders. The food was quite nice as well (aside from the food poisoning); I ordered the chowder and the mussels. We suspect it was the mussels that may have caused an issue, since others at my table ordered the chowder and they were fine. The view at this location is pleasant, though not recommended for viewing the sunset as the angle of the restaurant doesn't permit it for indoor dining. Overall, it was an alright experience, but getting sick was very unfortunate. I caution others if they decide to try the mussels, though I'd hope that no one else will get sick from it.

Ok. Sorry viewers. Back here today, Dec. 05/21. Not good. Ordered Seafood Trio again. Shrimp very good, Bacon Wrapped scallops very good although there was one less bacon wrapped scallop and one less shrimp than the other 3 times I have had this dish. Mussels not so good. First 2, ok. Next 4 were not good. Tasted not fresh, fishy & strong. Couldn't finish them. Told server to take the rest away. She told me they were fresh & had come in the day before. Doubt that. She came back & said they would take 10% off my bill. Told her that was not acceptable. She later came back with 25% off. Accepted that, but as a manager who has been in the hospitality industry, I would have comped the meal. I am a seafood junky and know good seafood from bad. This was was bad!! SO here is the score on the Seafood Trio. Had it 4 times. Two times good, two times not good. So consistency is lacking bigtime. Be ware. Was going to order 2 Flavor Carnivore Chili for take out for lunch on Monday, but decided to pass! ---- Anything you ready past this was from before. FYI. ----- Ok. Back here a weeks ago. Back to 5 star. Ordered the Seafood Trio. A very big favorite on the menu. Spot on, perfect. Had the "Flavor's Carnivore Chili". Wow! Perfect seasoning and flavor. My wife had the Beet & Goat Cheese salad. Beautiful piece of art work and flavor. Kudos to the owner, kitchen staff, and servers. I thought I first reviewed this place about a week ago and gave it a 5. I don't see my review so maybe I posted it on another site. But now this places gets a 3 out of 5. The dish that I had raved about with the 5 rating fell way short the second time. I had the Seafood Trio which knocked me over the first time. The second time, within days of the first time because it was so good, fell far short of the mark. The white wine cream sauce was almost no where to be found the second time. I expressed my concern to our server, and she promptly brought more sauce. The thing is the sauce she brought was in a very heated bowl, but the sauce was stone cold. Not good! Especially not good when the first time was amazing and I thought I found a new fav place to eat. No so. Will not go back. Between food and wine, when I spend 100 bucks, I expect better and...

Well I don't like to post negative reviews but this is something I can't ignore. We went here as it had good reviews and it's on the harborand thought that it would be nice. There was a line. We waited 15 mins in the line. We were seated at 645 pm. The server took a bit to come but we were understanding as they did seat a few tables before us. We ordered and I ordered an appy and I said bring out the food as soon as it comes. We had children with us aged 4 and 7. They were hungry as we were at the beach. She said the kitchen was swamped so it would be a bit. We said no problem. Well after 1.5 hours I asked about the food. If the appy was on its way or anything. She said sorry the kitchen is still swamped. I said it was the kids bedtime at this point. Would we be getting our food in the next hour. She checked in with the kitchen and then said no it wouldn't be. By the time we got out of there we had waited 2 hours for our food with no food. I have never experienced something like this. It wasn't the servers fault, she seemed stressed about it. But they should NEVER have seated us if that would be the outcome. Also a table was seated after us and they received their meal (probably because it was the lobster platter, but everyone else around us that not received their food either) I really hope they learn from this experience and not seat people if their kitchen can't handle it. Also everything was closed and my young children didnt get to eat dinner. Luckily I had cereal in the hotel. I have never experienced worse...

I want to rate this place higher, but I cannot....When we entered, we noticed it was chilly. I asked the hostess about sitting outside, but she said it might rain and we can't guarantee you can come back in. We stayed inside and ordered drinks. We noticed other folks wanting to sit outside were given a variety of excuses why they should not. We asked our waitress about adjusting the temperature. She looked at her watch and said the AC is on a timer and is going off very soon. Meanwhile ice cold air was blowing hard. It kept getting colder. We ordered food and while waiting and waiting for delivery, I again asked about the air conditioning. At this point I was basically told they are not in control of the AC and can't adjust the temperature, and it was not going off. I had ordered my food, and I was angry. I was LIED to. The waitress lied. At this point, other folks slowly migrated outside. The wait staff was not happy about having to serve outside. And their faces showed it. I expressed my dissatisfaction of COLD FOOD, COLD FEET, COLD FINGERS, and LIES...etc with an appropriately cold tip. I cannot go back to a restaurant that can't keep the environment within a reasonable temperature. And I don't return when waitresses lie. If you go, take a parka, hat and gloves. Expect you food to go ice cold before you can eat it. I think the food was okay, but I only ate a few bites before...
