Location: In the heart of Tadoussac. If you're staying in the center, you can easily walk. Street parking and lots are available however check the signage because in many cases, there appears to be a time limit (street parking) or you need to pay. There are a few free lots - Tadoussac's web site has a map that shows all paid and free parking.
The place: Great little spot located in old house. They have two floors (only one was open) as well as a terrasse. The vibe is super casual. No frills, but all good!
The goods: We stopped in for breakfast because every time we walked by in the evening, there was a line-up. Their menu is small but the food is great - I ordered the Croque Monsier on brioche and it was delicious! This was served with potatoes and fruit, and the portion was quite generous. Both my friend and I ordered the same thing and we both thoroughly devoured our meals!
Service: Great - very friendly!
Price point: It's a little expensive for breakfast - with a cup of their Chai, the total was about $27. Regardless, I would...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went there on a sunny day. Nice location, nice building, nice interior decoration, good service. We ordered two tatar meals. The tatar was good - a mix of salmon, prawns and cucumber. It came with some deep fried crackers that probably used to be warm and crispy, but now they were cold and a little soft, so we asked if we could get some bread instead.
The waiter came with a sliced baguette - not like the fresh ones you would get from a bakery, but rather the ones you get in a pack in a supermarket that need to be put in the oven for a while. However these were not heated or toasted - just cold, dry and had a soft crust. He didn't ask, if we wanted any butter, which would have helped a bit.
The beer they served was good, and the wine was generously poured and well priced.
All in all a good but not great experience. I do think that it is one of the nicest places...
Read moreWhat a fantastic menu! Their prices are competitive to the surrounding restaurants, but you get more for your dollar, and they don't sacrifice quality. The beef tataki, seafood risotto, and osso bucco were outstanding. The osso bucco was fall-apart tender, the mashed potatoes and sauce were delicious... with the mushrooms, onions and tomato tapenade? Perfection. The seafood risotto sauce was so flavorful and generously adorned with scallops, shrimp, mussels, lobster and crab. We spent the meal sharing bites, they were both so delicious. The service was attentive, but not over- solicitous, and the restaurant itself was charming. And the cocktails actually had liquor in them! XD ♡♡♡ If ever we return to Tadoussac, Café Bohème will be a priority ♡. Thank you for a...
