Dear New Owners (and faithful Amloze pizza patrons.) I get it…COVID s been tough… Min Wage is up. Price of commodities is up. Inflation. Blah blah blah.. Life hasn't been easy on restaurant owners of late. No one could fault you for raising the price of your pizza, even if it is by an almost whopping $8..!!!. Interestingly the last time I was at Amloze, (It must've been before October, the new owner assured me when I was audibly surprised by the price hike)I was speaking with the young man who operated the establishment with his family.... You know the family that worked hard the last decade or so making pizza consistently delicious for a reasonable price... So reasonable, Infact that you and your friends would drive out of your way to get one .. Anyways the scenario was familiar, they were busy, parking lot full. The young man greeted me as usual, showed me the contents of the large pizza box I came to retrieve. I commended him and his family on the great work they did... In all the years Ive been blessed to eat pizza in Windsor, Every pizza shop inevitably has a bad day and you the consumer may suffer a mediocre pie. Maybe it's cold, crust is off, short on toppings, etc.... "Not you guys... You guys are on point everytime! I assured him.. The conversation ensued. I learned that they hadn't been affected by COVID that much, after all. More people being shut in means more people ordering pizza. I wonder why they didn't decide to raise their prices?
I came into today to get a large pizza. I anticipated the usual greeting. I was ready to commend: My last pizza was perfect! Instead: " That will be 28... .....and would you like a garlic sauce. It's an extra dollar?" I responded: Really no complimentary one? (I used to get one with the pizza ) Nope.. Instead of the nice greeting, what I received; I would chalk up to disingenuousness... (I'm surprised that your surprised your pizza is an extra $8... ) "And You haven't looked online at our prices" the guy at the till said to me. As if to say: "Idiot" ... I'm sure he didn't mean to come off that way.... Really though, why would I? I have been getting a large pizza with the same three toppings for years. 20$ and change. If the price was north of that, and it did rise a bit through out the years, they acknowledged it.... But I'm the idiot. Anyways If you happen upon this review. (Once you get past the fake ones. What loyal customer of many years won't make mention of an 8$ price hike) Note that: The quality pizza that "Amloze" family,( I wish I knew their actual name ) crafted for many years has (mostly)been preserved. Canned mushrooms isn't a deal breaker for me. It's up to you whether it's worth an extra 8$. Personally, Capri is closer to us and it's now cheaper. To the owner's: You have a great install base not earned by you...( I was the only car in the parking lot today ..Fair enough it's Wednesday. ) Don't go out of your way to see how quickly it...

Review #11 (See Pizza Nook for review #10)
$46 for 24 slices, a 2L bottle of pop and 2 garlic dips.
The location is just off of Tecumseh rd at Lesperance. Amloze is busy often. I've tried to get this pizza a couple times before and it was always over an hour wait. This time i was able to get the pizza in half an hour. When i arrived at the store it was busier. It's a small store and offers take out only. The parking is a bit cramped. This was made worse by a tow truck that was parked in the lot, taking up a big portion of it. Staff were friendly.

Pre taste - 9 - The pizza looked very good. I could tell it had a nice crisp to it.
Cheese - 8 - No complaints and evenly proportioned.
Sauce - 8 - I really enjoyed the sauce. It would be a 9 but some pieces had a little too much sauce compared to the cheese.
Crust - 10 - The crust is perfect if dipped with the garlic sauce that is offered. Definitely the best crust so far in the city.
Overall - 8 - Overall the pizza is great. The family really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend Amloze to anyone who's never had it before. I can honestly see why it's always busy. It's a great choice. The complaints are few. We would definitely get Amloze again. The price is worth the quality and quantity.

Read moreIf it is possible to eat a PERFECT PIZZA, this is IT! This pizza place was recommended to us by a close friend and we were not disappointed in the least. We normally get pizzas from places like Capri, Naples, Riviera and Windsor pizza, which are all extremely delicious pizzas, but Amloze blows their competition right out of the water!
The cheese is delicious, the crust is the perfect balance between crunchy and soft, the sauce is the perfect balance between sweet and spicy, and the toppings taste fresh and tasty! They even include a dipping sauce which I highly recommend!!
Pizzas and prices are comparable to the other restaurants mentioned above, but I've actually found Amloze to be a couple dollars cheaper on average.
I have never personally stepped foot in the place (husband picks it up), so I cannot comment on the staff or the decor, but I can mention that it is worth the drive from Kingsville to pick this up! It's also important to note that the pizza reheats very well!
Amloze Pizza creates an unforgettable pizza that you will crave, and miss if you move away! We treasure this pizza place, and...
