Wineology — Restaurant in Tecumseh

“I almost had to fight a customer at my sister’s birthday and the staff did nothing.”

I’ve always loved Winelogy in Windsor, especially the Walkerville location. But what happened at the Tecumseh location was so bad that I’ll never go back.

I took my sister and her friends to celebrate her birthday . From the start, the atmosphere was completely off — there were girls welding bracelets right in the dining area, which was loud, distracting, and honestly felt cheap for what’s supposed to be a nice restaurant. People kept coming in and out loud like it was a mcdonalds, we wanted to leave but had already ordered. The waitress barely spoke to us, which was disappointing but nothing compared to what happened next.

While I was taking photos of the girls, two customers (white, 40s) started openly mocking them, smirking, and making comments. I confronted them once, but they kept going.

It got to the point where my heart was pounding, my hands were shaking, and I knew that if we stayed any longer, I might just grab the wine bottle off our table and bash them — that’s how angry and unsafe I felt. And through it all, not a single staff member came over to help, check on us, or tell those customers to stop.

The birthday was ruined. And what hurts most is that no one at that restaurant seemed to care about our safety, our comfort, or the fact that this was supposed to be a special night for a teenage girl.

Walkerville Winelogy? Amazing. Tecumseh Winelogy? Loud, low-class atmosphere, disgusting attitudes, zero accountability, and no concern for guests....

Unfortunately I don’t have anything positive to say so I guess I should put it bluntly, we arrived about 5 minutes late to our reservation which is on us completely but when we arrived the restaurant was empty and we were greeted after waiting around 3 minutes but keep in mind (a empty restaurant )while people walked by and said nothing, then we sat down ordered drinks and our waitress Bevin didn’t id us, mind you we are 20 years old and just celebrated our birthdays so we should’ve been Id, then we ordered and it was very unpleasant, she brought us the wrong coaster for the flight of wine which was a honest mistake but first mess up, then we had a FRUIT FLY land in our drink and I had her replace it and she didn’t even apologize for this disgusting inconvenience not once! We got our apps and they were also very disappointing the Brie was not warm, the escargot was extremely unpleasant and as well as our food, I ordered chicken in my pasta and was served a whole breast without sauce and it was so hard I didn’t even eat any of it because I could not cut into it with a steak knife, and my friends lamb chop was so chewy we needed to make sure it wasn’t undercooked with a quick google search, only for google to tell us it was most likely raw or not of great quality, I have personally experienced better food and service down the street at chucks, this was extremely disappointing for both parties involved, I wouldn’t even recommend to the fruit fly that landed in my...

Terrible Valentine’s Day experience. If you asked me before I would tell you wineology was my favourite restaurant. If you ask me now we likely will never be returning. As soon as we sat down we were told it was a “set menu” which we were never told upon putting in our reservation. Once we proceeded to order the menu had zero prices nor did the waiter tell us the cost. (The price was not the issue of the service was the quality and experience we were used to). Everything we ordered was extremely small portions and the waiter gave my fiancé and I the wrong meals for each course. Along with the small portions the couple sitting behind us brought there cat in a carrier and the restaurant allowed them to leave there cat under the table. I also ordered steak and did not receive a steak knife along with I was never asked How I ate my steak/ it was cold. Not once did we get asked how our meal was/ get a refill on our water. We were told the “heart shaped Nutella pizza was shareable. It was the size of a cookie along with soggy and not completely cooked. We were very disappointed with our service.
