Gyros & More — Restaurant in Tecumseh

I have never been to Gyros & More before, but I decided to check it out tonight as a friend told me about their free gyro promotion for their 14 year anniversary which ran from 5-8 pm. I arrived at approximately 6:55 pm and it was quite the wait, with the line outside the door. At 7:42 pm, a man came out of the kitchen and said that they were no longer giving out free gyros despite the restaurant being packed with customers - I had been waiting for nearly 50 minutes now. At this point, I was actually next in line at the cash register. Many of us were in shock as we would have expected them to close the door to stop people from joining the line if they knew they were running low. We were even more shocked when the older lady working behind the counter said that they still had gyros available, but they were only for paying customers if we were to want them.

A few customers became upset, rightfully so, but the older man tried to justify themselves by saying it was almost 8 pm anyways, even though we were well within the promotion time period. I am not disappointed that we did not get the free gyro but rather, I am disappointed in their clear disregard for their customers. We had all been waiting for so long and they did not once apologize. Instead, they shifted their focus from their “14 year celebration promotion” to pure profits.

I have been going to Gyros and More for years at multiple locations. This location (tecumseh)lost me as a customer when I was charged 18 dollars for a chicken Greek salad due to the scarcity of the price of lettuce. Mind you no drink was included in this price and it would have cost me over 20 to have a bottle of water thrown in. I have been to other restaurants and talked to multiple people who work in the food service and they all think this is ridiculous.

I was sad to return home with my takeout. Soggy french fries (under cooked). Gyro meat looked to be chunky overcooked dog food with pieces of what appeared to be bone and a Soggy pita. This meat appeared to be left over chunks. Any gyro I have ever ordered was sliced off the rotisserie machine. This was a sad excuse for a "gyro". The whole meal was bad. Except the pop..... I also paid for ordered of gravy that were never put in my bag. Waste of money and time, half of my takeout went to the...
