Village Kitchen — Restaurant in Tecumseh

We went there to celebrate my birthday with our almost 2 year old. I was appalled by the way the woman serving the tables spoke to us, as well as other customers, as we could hear their conversation. Let me start with the conversation that happened behind us. A lovely woman who was playing with my son from her table stated she was full and couldn't finish her sandwich the server said to her, "why did you order it then?" The lady stated that she had gastric bypass and that her eyes were simply bigger than her stomach. Why embarrass the customer who is paying for the food regardless? Now, onto my personal experience with this woman. My child was eating his eggs, and pancakes etc. He lifted his plastic plate up for a quick second, and this server decided she was going to take the plate from my child. I told her that he wasn't finished eating, and she dismissed me by saying, "no mom, he won't throw my plate". I said excuse me but he's not going to throw it. By this time my toddler is screaming and crying cause he's hungry and she was being complett rude and disrespectful. I am disgusted by how she acted. She ruined my birthday breakfast and made an argument between the adults at the table. She should be ashamed of herself. I will never go back and never, ever suggest this place. Plus the food...

The food was ok, my bacon was deep fried which I don't really like. The server didn't really engage with us at all. We were given the bill half way through the meal, which I find odd, but have seen it before, no one cleared the plates so we didn't stay for conversation. When we went to pay, he handed us the debit device with no amount on it and gave us no instructions that we had to do it ourself and figure out what to add as a tip. Service was fast omlette was ok, Abes breakfast very good. Home fries definitely are not seasoned. Not even halfway through eating and she puts the bill on the table which would have been alright except I had planned on bringing a meal Home for a friend. Needless to say that meal will come from someplace else and I will not be returning here. Nothing worse than feeling rushed when your eating. Overall...
