Golden Star Restaurant — Restaurant in Terrace

I use to look forward to going to this place when I was in terrace. I was so disappointed when I got my combination meal. The chowmein was dry and just noodles, the fried rice tasted like it had just been boiled and colored with I don't know what, and the almond chicken was greasy and tastless. I have no idea what they did to the chicken that was on top of the chowmein and rice but it was wet and white....like the cheap frozen stuff you buy in plastic bags at the grocer. It also had that off smell to it. I had waited all day to have supper here because it use to have the best chowmein in Terrace......not any more. This was the only Chinese restaurant I visited during my brief one week stay in Terrace and it was one of the worst I ever had. Being from Vancouver I guess my standards are pretty high but to put it in perspective, this place is worse than food court Chinese food. The chow mein was bland and flavorless so much so that I had to add soy sauce to it, the broccoli beef was literally just that, broccoli and beef, no delicious gravy and hardly any flavour. DO NOT EAT HERE. The literal worst. Our order took forever, was not correct either. I called in advance and spoke to someone who assured me they would include plates and cutlery in our order as we were at a hotel and didn't want to eat off of counter tops with our fingers. Of course, the order arrived with no plates or silverware. I called and spoke with the same person who assured me they would send the cutlery and her only response was "oh" and that was it.
