Restaurant Taasty Thai — Restaurant in Terrebonne

This place is unbelievable. My family have been there for dinner on a number of occasions since it is right next to our house. The first time we went, my scallops were basically raw but since the restaurant was fairly new, I figured I would give it a second chance. A few months later, my wife and I returned and I decided to try the same dish a second time since I love seafood especially scallops. This time the scallop was cooked. I say "scallop" in the singular because there was only one! They had cut it into 4 pieces to make the dish appear to have many. When I mentioned it to the owner she basically said nothing and didn't seem to care. The final straw came last week when my extended family were in town for the holidays and asked where we could go to eat that was close. Since there aren't many cultural food options in Lachenaie I offered to take them to Taasty Thai. Once again, the owner was completely rude when we asked for a table away from the door since my aging mother didn't really appreciate being placed next to the door where there was a cold draft. This time we mentioned that this wasn't acceptable especially since the resto was empty. Again, the owner didn't seem to care. Without any hesitation, we walked out and spent $250 in another restaurant that appreciated our business. Suis allée avec une amie un jeudi soir. C’est un restaurant Apportez votre vin. Pour un prix de 35$ (évidemment, sans les taxes, et sans le), j’ai pris le deuxième choix, style combo, dans le menu du soir. Je n’ai pas pensé à prendre des photos cependant même si les présentations des plats sont simples, elles sont quand même appliquées. Pour ce prix, il était inclus: une soupe (petite, une chance!), un choix entre un rouleau impérial ou des Dumpling (j’ai pris Dumpling), un choix de salade, un choix de plat principal (et même dans les spécialités) et un choix de dessert. J’ai choisi comme plat principal du poulet aux sésames, c’était délicieux ! Le poulet était pané, mais ça ne goûtait pas la friture. C’était équilibre comme saveur. Comme dessert, je me suis gâtée avec une banane frites qui vient avec un coulis et une boule de crème glacée. Je me suis régalé. Je vous recommande fortement ce restaurant pour ce petit prix avoir autant de nourriture j’ai dû rapporter une bonne partie de mon plat principal, puisque j’avais vraiment envie de manger le dessert. C’était définitivement très bon et je retournerai avec plaisir. Mon seul bémol est que les plats arrivent très vite et que nous avons l’impression d’être un peu pressé. Cependant, nous nous sommes assises vers 18h45 et considérant que le restaurant ferme à 21h, nous avons fermé le restaurant (nous n’étions pas les dernières) et avons quitté vers 21h20. C’était un repas somme tout pris lentement puisqu’il y a beaucoup à manger d’autant plus que je ne mange pas vite, et que nous étions deux femmes à placoter ! Sinon le service était très bien. This restaurant was not at all what I expected, you can almost miss that it's there from the outside but once you enter it is very nicely decorated, the servers are kind and quick and the menu is authentic and with pictures which was very helpful since we didn't know what most of the dishes were.
