New favourite coffee place! Discovered this place by accident when the other coffee shop across the street turned out to be closed still. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely be interested in the customer. Ordered a Vanilla latte and mocachino, and both were insanely smooth & delicious. My friend ordered a matcha tea latte and was also pleased with it. Drinks are carefully and artfully prepared. Bakery items are fresh and tasty - - the danish, croissants, and donuts, I highly recommend to complete your drink experience. Although the sit-in option is closed, the space still gives off unique, chill, & mod vibes. I was pleased with their variety of non-dairy beverages (oat, almond, macadamia). I have been back here 3 times already his week and plan to go once more before the end of our trip! Wish we lived closer, otherwise I'd be here every day!

I've been enjoying the coffee at Good Grief for a couple of years now. This review is long over due! I usually drop in to buy a couple of 1 kg bags to brew at home and grab an espresso and baked goods in the process. I'm 30 minutes away, so I like to stock up! Jesse and the staff are friendly and super knowledgeable about coffee. I can list of a bunch of their coffees I've had and thoroughly enjoyed. However, the recent Ethiopia Birbes Kela makes me want to drink way too much coffee! This is a picture of my flat white using this bean - my latte art needs work! Heavy blueberry notes that are still present in the spent espresso puck. I don't usually smell my spent pucks, but man, this coffee smells awesome! In my opinion, Good Grief is producing the best coffee in the South Georgian Bay Area!

If I could give this place more stars, I would. Everything here is always delicious, fresh and great value. Even when there is a line out the door, the staff is friendly and pulling perfect shots of espresso. They roast their beans and bake all their goods in-house and you can taste the quality and care that goes into them. They are my favourite stop in Thornbury and 100% worth a visit.

The early bird gets the danish! While I can always count on Good Grief Coffee Roasters to serve up the perfect cortado every time, the in-house danishes, which are to die for, with their real fruit toppings, just don’t seem to hang around long enough for those of us who sleep-in!

However, late-risers do have a consultation prize... the mysterious little jam and peanut butter cookies! With just a hint of peanut butter and not too sweet, they are bite-sized, yummy, and should really be sold by the half-dozen, not singly!

Good Grief Coffee Roasters... a cheerful, upbeat place to get your caffeine fix and a nod to your...
