I stopped by the Bakery Cafe yesterday to grab some quick eats before hitting the road. The place is quaint and cute inside. Rustic feel with lots of natural light from the windows, and they were playing some great upbeat music (Ibiza feels 😂). The staff were nice and the food was quick. You order at the front counter and can go take a seat after in which you’ll be given a number for your order. They bring what you’ve ordered to you. They have a little kitchen station area in the back of the seating area where you can grab water for free, Jam and condiment containers, and other eating needs. They also had bins to place your dirty dishes after you’re done eating. I found the prices to be very reasonable and the baked goods were also very well priced. I had a butter tart and it was 🔥👌 so yummy. I made sure to buy a six pack of butter tarts on my way out. They also had freezers either frozen meals you could buy which is perfect for those going up to the area for a weekend. They had the fresh bread and other baked goods as well as Keto and Gluten Free products!!! For those that might be celiac. Overall, this was a great place to stop by quick for some morning fuel before starting the day. Will for sure come back when I’m in the area again.

My friends and I were recommended this place by a local as they have great coffee and food however the customer service at this establishment is lacking greatly. We all ordered sandwiches to-go, I placed my order for a vegetable panini at 2:24pm and didn't get it until 3pm. All of us ordered a side of chips with our sandwiches but when our one friend got her sandwich (about 10 minutes before I got mine) and opened the container there were only 5 chips with her sandwich. We brought the order to the counter to show the staff as our other two friends had a much bigger portion, they ran out of chips which would take a long time to make so they offered us homefries or a side salad in place of that. Why they didn't come to us before to let us know that and offer us the substitutes before handing over the take-out container, I have no idea. Food was okay but overall a poor experience.

I absolutely love the food, drinks and baked goods at the bakery. I wanted to write a review to explain that the service needs work. As someone who is very experienced in the food industry and offering quick and great customer service. The service while having your order taken is friendly but after that point it becomes a bit of a mess. The wait times are quite ridiculous and seems like there is no cohesion between front of house staff. There is no process, no order and thus results in a very inefficient method of delivering food or drink.

The past two times I have ordered from the bakery I decided to pre-order my lunch ahead of time. I ordered an hour to an hour and a half before my scheduled pick up time and yet both times I still ended up waiting 15-20 minutes for my sandwich. As well, it would be more efficient if the store had a designated "online order" section where orders are placed so that customers who ordered online can just come in, grab their order, and go. this would eliminate wait times for the customer and free up time for your front of house staff to have to deal with them.

Overall, the bakery is a fantastic place to eat but its really off putting to have to constantly be frustrated every time you leave because of...

We were out looking for a go to spot today for when we our out on our bikes which we travel thru Thornbury quit often. Tired of Tims. We stopped here, I had ordered a ham sandwich with sauce being honey mustard. Instead I received honey Dijon. Which is horrible! I was to kind to say something because I doubted myself that maybe I had ordered wrong. It took everything in me to eat even half the sandwich.I even had to take my napkin to try and remove some of it. My hubby assured me that I had asked for honey mustard, so I took the sandwich back to the counter. Read the menu and yes, I know I asked for honey mustard, being I remembered the butter option was right after it that I had asked for as well. I explained my horrible deal of having to eat it. They offered me another sandwich. Which I thought was awesome only to find it was only half a sandwich. I guess my choking down the first half of their mistake wasn't entitled to a full sandwich in good favor. 38 dollars later plus a tip, this will not be...
