Had a late breakfast here today. I understand it was holiday Monday so the wait didn't bother us. We had an amazing breakfast here a few weeks ago( everything was quick, hot, fresh and plenty) so we expected the same service regardless of the long weekend.
Today was THE COMPLET opposite. Very disappointing. Enough that I'm not sure we'd give it another try. Again the wait was no issue once we got sitting and ordered the order took 45 mins to get to us!!(3 orders all the same of the classic breakfast) others were question the wait to. Even at capacity you wonder why it took SO long for breakfast. Once we got it it taisted like it was sitting for a long period of time, it was cold and the sausage was absolutely gross. Possibly boiled and one small grill mark on them. They almost seemed mushy and undercooked( the few weeks before they were fresh and a nice crust/crunch to them the way breakfast sausages go) the only thing we really ate was the toast. (Also no kids option??) they seem extremely understaffed (2 girls working cash and all the tables) but this is no excuse for bad and poor quality food.
I was very kind and talked to the girl when we were paying to leave at the front so not to disturbed the others eating but she bairly looked up at me and I'm sure she didn't take anything I had to say very serious so I'm sure my comments never made it to the cooks. Very unfriendly(AND AGAIN BEING BUSY IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR POOR FOOD, POOR SERVIES,...
Read moreWe showed up for breakfast at the same time as 2 other parties. We sat down first then the other parties sat down. They were greeted right away and had their drink orders taken and brought back to them and then had their food orders taken and we still weren't even greeted. The other 2 parties were very clearly locals and frequently visited this establishment but we were the new people so apparently we weren't as important. Too bad because we could have become regulars as well but our first impression was not very welcoming. We left and went down the street to the Thornbury Bakery and were greeted right away and had a very nice breakfast. Update: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately your waitress is not telling you the truth. When we arrived there was a line of 3 parties, we were first. We turned to the couple behind us and asked if they were regulars, do they know if we just seat ourselves? They told us it's pretty relaxed you can sit anywhere. So we sat down while they were still picking their table. Yes our waitress did give us silverware but was talking to the other party and wouldn't have even have made eye contact with us if I hadn't said Good morning to her. She very quickly said morning back but that was all that...
Read moreNot sure how they got such a high rating. This place was awful. I actually didnt want to eat here after finding out that there was a 30 min wait for our table. I was super hungry and our orignal breackfast plans fell through. So I told the waitress, "I'm sorry Im just gonna go to Timmys cause Im way too hungry and Im in Dire need of food. I'll come back tm." She reassired me that it would be very long at all! After being seated wewaited for over 30 mins for our food after we gave our order. When it finally arrived I didnt recieve what I ordered. Both my husband's eggs and my own were very undercooked. I recieved white toast instead of whole wheat. The waitress never did come back to see us. I tried to flag her down to let her know that my order wasnt right but she literally ran past me. Paid $45 for 2 orders of 3 eggs, homefries and toast. And like I said the food was undercooked and not what I ordered. Went to Tim Horton's the next morning and it was actually better than here. Cheaper and faster as well with better service. Thats bad! Might give them one...
