Kind of a weird experience here tonight. First it was a super long wait as the first person in line. Then the staff member put my sub bun on the counter even though it was really dirty. The previous customer ordered a salad so they were cutting up tomatoes and wet veggies on the counter then dousing it in salt and pepper. That's going to make my sub soggy so before she starts sliding it around I asked her to wipe it. Giving the benefit of the doubt about the lack of cleanliness, I asked if it was busy tonight, she said no the CLE is stealing our business....Okay. Then the staff member who made my sub was moving at the pace of a snail. I watched her stacking the toppings wondering how she was planning to close my sub if she wedges everything in the corner where it needs to fold over. The answer is she didnt have a plan lol. As predicted as soon as she folded it everything was pushed out of the sub. And still all at the speed of a dying snail. She said its going to be messy and handed me the sub saying "good luck with that." Does that sound appetizing to you? I think I'll stick to Subway from now on. Read moreI have been going to mr sub since it opened I was there day 1 with the owner I’ve actually been employed there as well. Back when I worked there, it was great. Everyone worked as a team It was fun to work there. Everyone got along for the most part. There wasn’t all this shit talking that goes on now I was simply just trying to enjoy my lunch this afternoon. Well, all I heard was complaints about the evening staff what they didn’t do The whole hour I was there. It must be a nightmare for the evening staff to have the day staff completely having there hard work dragged threw the mud. I’ve been there both day and night I see both shifts work HARD. Also to have a manager stand along with the other employees and talk badly about the night staff with them. What kind of management is that. John you need to hire a new manager because he surly doesn’t manage the evenings he only degrades them shame on you manager. I love both day and evening service the food will always be my favourite in town when I stop in Thunder Bay for the day or two. You all work hard and are doing great! Read moreI'm surprised to have witnessed the staff out right bulling another staff. Two staff members made it very clear they were both in bad moods. Being there to witnessing how this kind of atmosphere affects All staff. One customer ordered a seafood sub, the staff member contaminated the veggies And salad by wearing the same gloves, she handled the seafood with. Then she dropped olives in the salad, and wearing the same gloves picked them out. I informed staff of this and was told we can't throw out, it's all we have. Counter was not whiped down! I react to seafood and thankfully not in a life threating way. Hopefully, noone who is highly allergic eats there tonight. The taller lady who works there is the one who started these domino affects. I felt uneasy being there, god only knows how the staff member was feeling that was clearly being bullied! Her food handling mistakes could be from how she was being treated! The two that were in "angry moods" made mistakes of their own!! Like mixing the salad up!?!...
