TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTING! To sum up my experience at Rooster's today: it took 90 MINUTES OF WAITING to find out our order was never placed; after waiting, our FOOD CAME OUT INCORRECTLY; our WAITRESS FORGOT ABOUT US, confused our orders multiple times, NEARLY FELL ASLEEP ON US, and charged us for food we never got; the food we did get was sub-par (which is being generous); and finally the MANAGER STILL CHARGED US FOR 100% OF THE BILL! It all started when six friends and I went to Roosters at 1 pm today, and it was by far the WORST experience I've had dining, ever. We were ordering, and our waitress was half asleep and confused our orders 3 times; which didn't matter as our food came out incorrect anyway! After ordering we waited until 2:20 (80 minutes) to find out our ORDER HAD NEVER BEEN PLACED! At this point we were forgotten about, so I asked the Manager about the timing of our food and he replied "please take your seat it will be out shortly". This was not the case, as another 20 minutes went by. Finally, our food was delivered, with mistakes! After multiple miscues, and terrible service (except for one waitress who may be the saving grace in this story, thank you for bringing us coffee and water!) we had to bring our own dishes to the front counter to get a take-out container, and exchange our food in-front of other customers. When we finally went to pay, the Manager saw fit to charge us in-full, while suggesting a free glass of chocolate milk as compensation... it was at that point I wished we had never entered Rooster's Bistro, and I know I never will again. Hope others have a better experience than we did today, I can GUARANTEE I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ROOSTER'S...
Read moreWaited over a hour and the messed up mine and put a poutine instead of the salad. My bfs burger was supposed to have no tomato, no mustard and had all that. My bfs mom had no peppers and ordered fries and gravy with it. Well she had pepers and no fries and gravy. So we ask to be corrected. Then I get my burger that was wrong a giant hair I pulled out. While waiting for our burgers to be corrected my mother in law still didn't have her fries, I asked the girl to make sure the burgers were how we wanted she didn't write anything down and went back. While his burger came back wrong again and she still as no fries and gravy after another 30 mins. Well she said nevermind to her food tired of waiting 2 hours. The owner was given NY mother in law attitude and arguing with her and yah gave the meal's for free but was talking down to my mother in law, arguing with her. My boyfriend went outside and said no to the burger and I guess while walking out the manager says his burger is finally the way he wants it and might as while take it,because it's free. Screaming that at me full of attitude causing more scenes so I go back and say yes. He says all loud I guess u want it now because it's free..now it's good enough all ruDE. There was no reason for that and should not be blaming us for there mistakes. I am very offended and upset how he treated my elderly mother in law and she left all sad and head down and embarked and that upsets me more. I'm very disappointed and disgusted with...
Read moreHaving been here twice, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Let's start with the food. It's breakfast and lunch, not really a rediculous variety. Overall, it's what you would expect from a decent breakfast place. And when you can get it, the food is satisfactory. And the wait staff, they seemed to be doing their best and they are polite. The negativity seems to center around the one manager/owner who is both a bully, and a very poor manager. Basically his incompentance makes for a very stressful environment as he berates staff and creates an atmosphere of panic and confusion. In the hustle and bustle of getting everything served in time, they have forgotten the craft of service. Having worked as a waiter, I can usually tell when the problem is front of house or the kitchen, and it's definitely the front of house manager who is the crux of the problem. Ultimately it's that person's job to make it all happen. His incompentance makes for delays, and those delays are excused for his abuse of staff.
So if it's empty, I'm sure you can get a decent experience. And with enough people who do get a decent experience, because the food is often respectable, the place continues. But if it's busy, expect stress, bullying, and a poor experience.
I'll never go there again, and I doubt anyone in my extended family will either. And maybe my experience isn't supported by everyone, but the other 1 star comments are spot on. I hope the staff get a new...
