I love the coffee, that it's locally-roasted, sourced from a variety of countries, and also that they sell whole beans by the bag. Good selection of great quality coffee-brewing equipment, too! The design of the place is contemporary and, in my view, very attractive. The quality of the coffee is great and the staff are typically pleasant. Kudos to them for being purists - no numerous size options, a commendable absence of flavoured syrups and trendy coffee-based drinks that abound at most other places. The drawbacks are perhaps comparatively minor but can be frustrating: limited seating, highlighted by the fact that every day, several spaces are often occupied by staff or friends of staff/owners for extended periods of time, further reducing customer capacity, which is disappointing if you're hoping to enjoy your coffee in-house or sit with a friend. The coffee's great and, if a seat is available and the music isn't turned up too loudly (it sometimes is but, thankfully, not all the time),...

I am slightly hard-of-hearing and fortunately wore my hearing instruments or I would have had difficulty carrying on a conversation over others near us. Normally I'm fine in a quiet atmosphere.
There is very limited seating, and only cookies and muffins for eating, but it is a coffee shop first and foremost. You can also buy their bagged coffee. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a coffee shop...

I was in Thunderbay and decided to visit as it was close by and got a Peru pour over and was impressed. The coffee was so well balanced that I could easily drink it black.
Every-time I visit Thunderbay this is my go to place for takeout coffee and I love it so much I grab a bag to take back with me to Toronto. They take coffee very seriously and one of the workers (maybe owner?) was nice enough to explain to me their pour over process. They have a special machine that he programmed himself in order to produce the perfect...
