Tony Roma's — Restaurant in Thunder Bay

• update. We were told we were going to get gift cards to make up for our poor experience here (id like to add this was years ago no I know this I just found out how to edit my post) but the gift card never came so it was just a smoke screen from the owner to try and make things right at the time when I originally posted on FB and here. A friend and I went here last night for 7, the place is nice inside it wasn't busy at all which we were happy for since we were hungry. We got to our table after waiting about 5 minutes to be noticed at the front of the house. The menus look like a child laminated them which is sad for how nice the rest of the restaurant is. Fast forward after waiting forever to get our order taken it took 45 minutes to get our appetizer! After finally getting that we continued to wait and in totally we were at Tony Roma for over a hour and half waiting for food. What is most frustrating is ppl came in after us and would get there food right away. There food was decently good but we got basic burgers the half price apps wasn't what we were expecting and prices were high. All in all service sucked and the food was not good enough to make us...

Shamelessly dived into and devoured the starters before photos could be taken. Same with the deserts.( Repeat future visits will capture those) I'm positive if this restaurant placed "work boots and cardboard" on the menu, the kitchen magicians would make it taste gourmet, the waitstaff would present it like you were on a British nobility estate and the entire experience would make you realize that the management and staff at this location, would be the equivalent of heavyweight prize fighting champions of the service industry restaurant world.

Forget that every staff member in public view, from bartender to bus person, constantly scans the patrons to anticipate needs before being asked, every single item we've ordered on 2 separate visits has been spectacularly prepared, tastes phenomenal, been of generous proportions, it's made us anticipate returning and eager to try what we haven't.

I must say that our family was disappointed in the service and value of our meals. We made a reservation for 6:45pm and were seated immediately. It took about ten minutes for someone to come to our table. I had to ask for a child's menu for my nine year old daughter. She ordered off the kid's menu and did not receive the appetizer that comes with it. My pasta entree did not come with anything. I ordered a salad with it that was an added cost. Bread should have come with it, especially since it was spicy. My daughter's children's meal did not fill her up. Normally at any other restaurant, there is too much food for her. Before we ordered dessert, we ordered ribs for my son at home. It took about forty minutes for the meal to come. We had finished our coffees and desserts and were waiting for a long time.
