The Tillsonburg DQ was supposed to be open on September 3rd but upon arrival at 8:30 pm all lighted signs (logo on front of store, logo on side of store, logo at road sign, neon "open" sign in window) but one ("chill and grill") were off. We were almost going to drive away, because the interior seating lights were also off, until we saw an employee behind the counter who didn't seem to be cleaning so we drove up to the drive-thru. My brother, who was planning to meet us there, didn't stop as it looked closed. At the drive thru, after a delay answering, we asked if the dining area was open as we thought my brother and sister-in-law were meeting us. We were told it was so we went inside. We ordered our Blizzards and then told the two staff at the counter (drive thru employee and cashier) that we thought the place was closed because all but one sign was off and they didn't even respond, as if they didn't address it because it was intentional.
I then went to the men's bathroom and there were no paper towels and the electric dryer wouldn't turn on.
While eating at a table I saw a few other people outside who were confused about whether the DQ was open. One customer pulled to open the door on the front by the drive thru but it was already locked around 8:40pm. We were seated by the front window and could hear a staff laugh and make fun at the customer for encountering the locked door even though I believe that door is normally an entrance. This was unprofessional.
It was clear from the situation that the employees didn't want any business and were doing what they could to discourage any while leaving a tiny bit of plausible deniability, These employees are hurting the business and led to lost sales from my...
Read moreIf I could leave a lower rating, I would. They keep spilling barbecue sauce on my car, it is permanently stained now because they didn't address it when it happened and I found it a day later. Now I have to get my car detailed. They wouldn't connect me with any manager or any service at all. Did not take accountability. DID NOT APOLOGIZE. Why couldn't you knock on the door and let me know what happened? Why couldn't you say sorry. You don't have a vehicle nor pay for one, yet you think it's okay to damage mine. A bill will be sent with the total cost for repairs since literally all I needed was a sorry and accountability. But no, I find it a day later and now there's permanent damage that you will be paying for. I cannot believe this is how I was treated. Absolutely disturbing behavior from your employees. I will never support this business again. Clearly this business isn't mature to handle situations professionally. Your staff are children who are not professionally trained. Why are you throwing heavy garbage bags over my car instead of walking around it. Those 5 extra steps was too much and you'd rather risk my $50,000 car because you're lazy. This is the most disrespectful and disgusting behavior I have ever received from a business who...
Read moreI avoided this place the last few years because of a bad experience. Because of the beautiful weather today, I decided to give it another chance. I waited in line for 45 minutes from start to finish. 10 minutes of that was sitting at the speaker waiting to order. While I was still a few cars back from the speaker, I noticed a man leave out the back door of the restaurant in a Nissan SUV. I'm almost positive he is the owner. He left two staff in the store to take care of 8-10 cars? I saw at least 6 cars turn and get out of line (they were smarter than me). When I finally got up to orderl, they didn't have the three things I wanted!!! So amazingly frustrated. If you can't handle your inventory and you can't staff your store (and you leave your poor associates to deal with a busy time of a beautiful weekend day that was forecasted days in advance, and which I'm sure lead to irrate customers due to the obnoxious length of time it took to make it through), you should probably consider another line of work. This time, I will not...
