New Burger Planet Inc. — Restaurant in Timmins

Went in the early evening, we parked outside the restaurant and phoned in our order. First thing I seen was a worker tightening her ponytail with her gloves on while she was preparing (wrapping burgers) a meal. Husband said right away he wanted to leave, I said no lets order :( 2 adult kids were with us...we ordered one crispy chicken with extra mayo, Canadian back bacon burger, planet Portobello burger and one lots of mozza burger, we also ordered a large poutine quebec extra cheese. The order was made fast and they phoned us to come in and pick up our order, we went straight home. For some reason the patties were cold. I'm thinking they were sitting waiting for us to order? We popped all the food in the microwave for a bit, it was a bit better after that. My back bacon was freezer burned and tasted horrible, I threw it out and the burger was a lot better after that . This is what I sent privately to Siva...he did not acknowledge the ponytail...I am not sure why: Hi there, I am sending you a message privately because I just want you to know about my experience last night at your new restaurant...burger planet. First of all the girl with the puffy blonde ponytail should of had a net over her ponytail, she took her gloved hands and tightened her ponytail and then went back to preparing food. Our poutine looked nothing like what you see in the picture on your burger planet page (I have a picture to send you). My son loved his portabella burger, my daughter loved her crispy chicken burger I tried my Canadian back bacon burger and the back bacon was extremely freezer burned, I am guessing that is because no one ever orders that kind of burger. My husband tasted the back bacon and he usually cannot taste freezer burn and he could taste it too. We threw out the back bacon and took a slice of chees from the fridge and it was good, your patties taste wonderful. My husband had the lotsa mozza and he thought it was good except for the fact that the blood that comes out of the burger was still on the burger all the way around, he used to work on a grill and he says he would scrape that off, never leave it on. Your deep fried pickles were wonderful, not too salty. I have been going to your other restaurant for years and usually love your food. I just wanted to tell you what happened last night. We were out in the parking lot when we ordered and the food came very fast but our patties were not hot like they just came off the grill. We microwaved our burgers for a few seconds when we got home and we live close by so it should of been still hot. We were there at around...

So, the wife and I decided to give this place another shot. I want to say, with all 3 visits the staff and atmosphere has always been great, accommodating, and super friendly.

The first 2 times the food was less than spectacular, this time however, it seems they learned how to season and cook burgers. Lol. The paddy on my burger was thinking and small which is really my only complaint, I mean I am pretty sure the slice of onion was larger than the burger itself, but the burger was good. The poutine was excellent, no complaints there.

My wife ordered 1 piece beer battered haddock. She said it was ......... OK. Said she wouldn't order it again but it wasn't horrible. Which is why I only bumped this review up 1 more star.

If you love a burger with lots of flavour and juiciness, a burger that will make you wanna call home about?!?! DON'T come here. This was my second time eating here and I was disappointed both times.

The burger was dry and had no flavour, almost like they rely on ketchup and Mayo to flavour the burger. After swallowing my first bite I needed to have a drink of my nice cold pepsi water...... ya, I ordered a pepsi and got pepsi coloured water, just when I wasn't disappointed enough.

The Poutine I had is the only thing that saved my meal and bumped the score up to 2 stars. The staff was amazing, friendly, accommodating and was everything you want when you think of customer service, but friendliness isn't enough when as a company the burger is supposed to be your staple meal, I mean it is called Burger frickin Planet, the burger should be better than the damn poutine!!

My advice for this burger spot would be to spend a little more time and energy on making your burgers the best in town, it doesn't take much, just some seasonings would make this burger worth the time and money. I don't know, maybe I am just spoiled by my wifes...

I stayed at the travelodge nearby for a month and ate here every day for dinner. The place is very clean. The food is very fresh and good. The service is top shelf. Literally everything on the menu is 9-10/10. Compared to Marios, the chicken place across the street, and BP down the road, these guys are winning. Also, for takeout, they are FAST. Here's what I had: Greek salad: 10/10 very big portions even as a side. Onion rings: 10/10 Wings 9/10 - only 9 because they don't have dry rub flavours which I like. Teriyaki Beef Stirfry: 9/10 only because one time it came a little short on the beef but other two times I had it there was plenty. Chili: 9/10, as good as Tims and Wendys anyway Philly Cheese Steak: 10/10 Meatball Sub 10/10 - better than Subway Patty Melt 10/10 Fries; 10/10 every time 1/2 rack ribs - 11/10! surprisingly good. I like my ribs a little firm, theyre not mushy like swiss chalet. Gravy: 9/10

Only thing I did not try was the pizza but based on how good the other food was and how busy they are, I imagine it's decent as well!

Also notable, the place is well staffed and always open when their hours are posted. Although, notice that the hours for dine in and takeout close at 9, but pizza selivery is the inly thing that continues to 11pm.

Lastly, the owner/manager is always there. They care about the business.
