The restaurant is gorgeous from the inside and out. Unfortunately the food here was very underwhelming. My freinds and I went here for their winterlicious special (i understand that they will alot of orders and the kitchen needs to produce alot during that time but i still expect the food i payed for to be well made). I had their seafood bisque, linguini with shrimp and moltoff meringue pudding. Strongly disappointed by all three items. The bisque was very watered down. To be frank it tasted and smelt more like a butternut squash soup then a seafood bisque at all. The linguini itself was well cooked - but the sauce seemed like they'd literally just added pesto to a tomato sauce and hoped for the best - the flavour profile was very mellow and you couldnt really taste any specific flavour. The shrimps also tasted pretty poorly - they had this weird salty aftertaste that really makes me suspect they used a poor grade of shrimp. Ive had Good shrimp and this wasnt it. Perhaps most dissapointingly the plating was awful - as if they had just dumped the pasta from a large pot straight into tthe plate. Finally the moltoff merigue. I was pleasently surprised by the texture of the meringue - it was very light and wihout the crust that most baked meringues have. Unfortunately it was sickeningly sweet and the white sweet creme on top just added more sweetness wihout adding any flavour. There was a rasberry or strawberry coulis but im honestly unsure what it was because there was so little of it that it added colour more than flavour to the dish. Now...your probably wondering why didnt i rate this as a 1 star? I can't deny that for the most part, the service was exceptional (except near the end of our visit when the restaurant got super busy and it took them an unwarrant amount of time to come give us the bill and visa machine). They started off with water and a slide baguette and olive oil and olives from the get go and kept bringing more bread when we finished [although major cons about this was that the bread was cold/room temperature and that it didnt have a good crust or architecture/texture that youd expect from a good baguette]. Another pro was their grilled squid dish which tasted great, was cooked well (i tasted some of my friend's) and was plated very nicely. Coming to this Restaurant, I was expecting to discover a really great place that I could bring future colleagues and clients too. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever go here again because of this really...

July 12 private hall upstairs was reserved for 30 ppl Air Conditioning: Upon arriving upstairs, the space felt quite warm, and it appeared the air conditioning was not functioning effectively. While I understand the venue may have just opened and the system might have needed time to adjust, the temperature remained uncomfortable throughout the evening. We opened the patio doors in hopes of improving ventilation, but unfortunately, the indoor and outdoor temperatures were about the same. The heat impacted the experience for many guests—my cake fondant, for example, began melting within an hour.

Service Flow and Timing: Service throughout the evening was slow, with significant gaps between courses. Hors d’oeuvres, which I had expected to be served with cocktails, were instead placed on the table and not circulated I know this may have been due to late arrival of guests, but i did expect them to be served with cocktails. As a result, we didn’t get to sample the full variety.

Portion Sizes and Consistency: Some dishes were inconsistently portioned. For instance, I received three small pieces of whitefish and two asparagus stalks, while others had larger or more complete servings. A few guests didn’t receive any asparagus at all. Additionally, the food portions that were served family style , were insufficient. Had to share for example 3 buns among eight adults. When I had dinned there in the past, the three buns were shared between two people.

Beverages and Overall Experience: However, because of the heat and slower food service, more alcohol was consumed—accounting for over 50% of the total cost. Many guests (myself included) left feeling hungry.

I chose to host my birthday amd retirement at this restaurant because I have dined there in the past twice and really enjoyed the service and food. I was sadly disappointed and so were my guests at this restaurant this time. I would not recommend hosting a party there. Despite my concern shared with the manager, I did not get a response from him.

I will no longer be eating at this...

I came here a year ago to celebrate my 40th birthday with my parents. It was a spectacular evening with perfect food and excellent service - Ryan was our waiter and he was attentive, charming, detail-oriented, and incredibly professional. It was an amazing evening - total perfection.

Fast forward to a year later where, last night, I reserved at Adega for my boyfriend's 50th birthday. Service was below average for a restaurant of this calibre, it was actually a bit shocking to be honest with you and the food was not nearly as good. My steak and frites was mediocre at best and my boyfriend was not very impressed by the seafood risotto he ordered. We also ate the grilled squid and octopus with pork belly. It became clear that quality on all levels had quickly deteriorated. We were disappointed but when we both got sick from the seafood overnight and the next day, I knew that it was truly the end of this restaurant for us, especially after I called the general manager and told him what had happened. He didn't take responsibility and still expected us to return. I like to give businesses an opportunity to make amends when things go wrong. The restaurant business is a tough business, especially now, and mistakes can happen, but I got the distinct sense that corners are being cut to safe costs and that's a very dangerous thing to be doing with seafood. I no longer trust the seafood at this restaurant and I am very particular about where I consume seafood. Where restaurants source their seafood is also very important to me. My recommendation - go to Terroni's - I have been eating seafood from them for years, they have excellent, consistent service and I have never gotten sick...
