I used to love coming here, I lived in the area and would eat here every week at the least, sometimes my partner would eat from here 3-4 times a week. Since then over the course of a year the food has become completely inedible to me and my family as well. I thought it was me and my tastebuds changed but my family noticed a change in the quality and taste of the food as well.
I don't know if their recipe has changed or if someone else is cooking the food now but it isn't the same anymore. The food used to be great, my go to order was a large rice and multiple skewers of spicy chicken tikka and my family would eat it for 2-3 days but now the chicken has such a weird flavour and a bad after taste. Even their sauces have changed. I tried giving this place a fair chance and ordered a few more times after I noticed the flavour change but each time it's been the same.
The best thing on the menu now is the chicken shawarma wrap and the rice is still just as good as it was the first time but the chicken tikka isn't. I won't be eating from here again. Maybe in a few months or a year...

Went here a few times when it opened shop. After 3 bad experiences I decided I wouldn't go. One of them was when I had ordered their goat curry. I took it for take out and when I got home, each of the 2 containers they provided had gravy and 1 bone in each. That's it. I would have been OK if they had just told me they didn't have any left in the pot. Instead, to make a few dollars, they gave me exactly one bone each of the two containers.
I am usually not a harsh critic when it comes to reviews, but this one I felt was justified. I don't even want to go into the other instance of a terrible experience here (related to customer service). I gave them a few chances - didn't work. I never went back to this place and make sure people I know are aware of what they did. They need to invest in their team and teach them what is Customer Service in an industry where food quality needs to couple with...
Read moreI had lunch at Almeezan’s Spicy Grill yesterday during my lunch break, and it was a horrible experience. They advertise Afghan food, but it’s actually Indian food disguised as Afghan cuisine. As an Afghan, I know authentic Afghan dishes, and what they’re serving is a complete insult to our food. Their dishes are marinated with Indian spices, which is nothing like real Afghan flavors.
I ordered shawarma, and it was raw. The place itself was filthy, and there was a horrible smell, like something had died—possibly a rat. It was so unhygienic that I regretted stepping in.
To make things worse, the lady working there was extremely rude and treated me with no respect, as if I didn’t matter. Since eating there, my stomach has been upset, which makes me seriously question the quality and safety of their food.
This place is disgusting and misrepresents Afghan cuisine. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Stay away if you value your health...
