Amigos Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

The restaurant was recommended to us by a neighbour who frequents Amigos regularly. Our neighbour did warn us that service can be quite slow. It was worse than that! The server tended to a patron immediately beside us THREE time and did not once stop to take our order. We were there for 40 minutes and then noticed the server was taking orders of others who just walked in. I walked over to her and asked “why have you not taken our order? You have been right there THREE TIMES!” All she said was “sorry”. I said “really though…why not?” She just said sorry. She didn’t even say “sorry. I can take it now”. Nope! She didn’t offer to take our order or give us ANY indication that our business would have been appreciated. I suppose it wasn’t.

So disrespectful. So disappointing. I’ve never had such horrible “service” before. I’ll never set foot back in that place again.

Unfortunately for them, my neighbour is so disappointed as well that she will no longer be returning, nor will her 4 friends who meet there. THAT made me very happy. Amigos is our Go-to family pub & restaurant, whether it's their delicious breakfast, snacks, Lunch or dinner or just to hang out with friends.

Don't miss their daily specials - my favorite is Saturdays' Half price Ribs & Wings, beyond delicious 😋

On Sunday, we had gone for breakfast, after mass, with quite a number of friends & we sat outside at the back. Though it was sunny, the tables had umbrellas to shade us. This is a great place for breakfast, very reasonably priced & the Breakfast Specials are available till 11:30am.

Coffee too is great!

Service is always excellent & the owner often comes around for a quick chat or two!

In June, I had taken a friend from out of town here & he ordered Pilsner on the tap & the Saturday special which he couldn't finish by himself. He was so impressed with the decor & ambience, it reminded him of a restaurant & pub back home.

What more can I say?

Oh, they also have a lower level sit out during summer, so there's ample space inside & outside the restaurant to suit everyone's tastes!

And the portions are great!

Before the pandemic, they used to have Karaoke Thursdays, Hope they restart this.

You can't go wrong with AMIGOS....satisfaction...

Our men’s slow pitch team goes to Amigos almost every Friday after we play. I have to give a huge shout out to this place as I’m baffled by the amount of recent negative reviews on the service!

We have a regular server, Sonia who has honestly become a part of our family. She knows all of our regular orders, is incredibly attentive, and just the best person to have a great conversation with! She works Wednesday - Friday in the evenings with the biggest smile on her face, I’m sure the people who experience negative service didn’t run into her!

Amigos has a pretty big menu with a lot of options , you would think there’s no way things like the chicken souvlaki or the pasta, Primavera would be killer at a place like this…. Think Again! The food here is great with the wings being the best in town for size and flavor. The Amigos hot sauce is one of the most flavourful hot sauces I’ve tried.
