TRUE STORY. My old man dropped this on me last night 01/13/23
I'm an 80's baby. One night when I was around 5 or 6, I wanted my dad to bring me MCDS after he finished working. On the way coming home, it slipped his mind and he REALLY didn't want to go back to the nearest one at the time (which was on morningside)..so on his way he stopped at Shamrock burgers. Got them to wrap it 'like' a mcds sandwich trying to trick my lil mind... IT DIDNT WORK. Screamed and cried THIS ISN'T MCDS!!! ......BUT dad was tired. Wasn't going out again. And I was forced to take one bite......then it completely vanished. Dad said I never said a word and went to sleep. Days passed. Time to eat a burger again. In he comes with MCDS thinking he's father of the year this time now... I open the burger. THIS ISN'T MCDS! HE BEGINS LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY. "Son that's MCDs" "NO ITS NOT!!!" (screaming, full out snot bubbles, pure waterworks) ...bites it...put it down. Refused to eat it I was told. Now in my YOUNG HEAD...MCDS is the best TASTING burger. But I got the MCDS burger and it didn't TASTE like the SHAMROCK. MISSION ABORTED! "I WANT MCDS!!!" "OK ill brb"... Dad comes with a SHAMROCK BURGER. I take a bite. I'm through the moon he says. From THEN ON...when I wanted a SHAMROCK BURGER I would say I want MCDS 🤣🤣
I'm in my 40s. And to this day...I STILL LOVE ME A MCDS BURGER 💯💯💯 (gotta come from Brampton but it's worth it ❤️)
You guys raised me. Love yall for life SHAMROCK aka MCDS 🥰
PS. Dad is 74 now and said to tell you guys...

So, that’s my own personal rule, but just gotta live a little. I ordered the double decker grilled cheese. The idea is amazing. Definitely putting on a lot of calories with this big guy. I wish that I could’ve seen more cheese seeping out of the grilled cheese buns and tasted more cheese would’ve been great, but the taste of the burger was exceptional.
Nicely grilled smash style that is very juicy. The grilled cheese buns worked very well soaking up all the flavour from the patty. The other thing that kinda worked well was the raw onions. The extra little fresh crisp gave another element to the burger
The onion rings were perfect. Nice and crispy with the soft onion inside. Fries seem like a great seller here too. Nice and potatoey with it being crisp on the outer layer
Service was great. Came just after opening and never felt rushed to order. The person helping me out also gave suggestions as to what to order and was nice and friendly
They have a lot of specials and see student specials being advertised also which is nice for the students on a budget.
Lots of available parking in the lot out front and doesn’t seem like a busy plaza. However, I did come right after opening and some of the other restaurants had yet to...

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the friendly staff who were eager to take my order. The menu has a great variety of burgers, fries, and other fast food favorites, making it hard to choose just one item. I ended up ordering the classic Shamrock Burger with a side of onion rings and a milkshake.
The burger was outstanding—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked with fresh toppings. The bun was soft and held everything together nicely. The onion rings were crispy and golden, with just the right amount of seasoning. And the milkshake? Absolutely divine! It was thick, creamy, and the perfect complement to the meal.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is inviting and clean, with a touch of retro charm that adds to the overall experience. Whether you're dining in or taking out, the service is quick and efficient.
Shamrock Burgers is a must-visit for anyone in the Scarborough area looking for quality fast food. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment makes it a standout spot. I highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be...
