Banh Mi Vina — Restaurant in Toronto

Ok, I found my new lunch spot. I was walking to Subway to get a sandwich and happened to pass by the open door at Banh Mi Vina. It smelled so good that I made a 180 and walked in. I ordered 10 spring rolls ($5) and 2 chicken banh mi ($6 each)....the lady jokingly asked if I had eaten yesterday lol. I just finished eating the first banh mi, and it was so good that I had to pause and write a google review before I devour the next sandwich and spring rolls. This is the best banh mi in Toronto, which is a very bold but true statement. My boyfriend and I were just strolling and stumbled upon it. We ordered the assorted pork cold cuts and the roasted and honey bbq pork banh mi. I’ve never been wowed by the banh mis here (although they are good, don’t get me wrong) and always crave the ones I’ve had in Montreal or Vietnam but I think this is def the spot for here. The baguette is so crispy and fluffy, the mayo and pate are in perfect harmony with the toppings…just so good. On top of that, the uncle and aunties working there are so sweet

At first I wanted to gatekeep this place because of how good it was and their ridiculously low price. I was walking by and only stumbled upon it when I heard a friendly voice inviting me in. I've been so severely disappointed with the Bahn mi in this city so I had little hopes. But I wanted to support this somewhat new family run place. I demolished the sandwich.
