Bella's Lechon scarborough — Restaurant in Toronto

I wish I read the reviews before ordering on Uber Eats. Here’s what I ordered and my thoughts on each dish. Hopefully the owner takes everyone’s feedback into consideration.

Kare-kare $21 loved the flavour and how much sauce they put in but terribly lacking ingredients (beef, tripe and vegetables). The bowl was 85% sauce and 15% of the beef and tripe. I was fishing in the bowl just to try and find beef, but they just put in 2 pieces of bone-in beef and about 3 small pieces of tripe.

Inihaw na liempo combo with garlic rice $14 good bang for your buck if you’re only basing it off the serving size. There were about 3-4 slices of pork, a lot of garlic rice and atsara. The garlic rice was bomb, but the liempo itself was overly sauced and the marinade was too sweet. My mom thought it was tocino. It was cooked well though

Papaitan $12 being ilocano and growing up in the Philippines I have tried many papaitan. The flavour was definitely lacking, and I found it too bitter. Yes, the name of the dish literally translates to bitter but it shouldn’t be this bitter. But the worst part is how much sahog(ingredients) they put in, or should I say didn’t put in. Just like their kare kare, the papaitan had 90% soup and 10% beef etc.

Binagoongan rice $19 good bang for your buck in servings and in flavour. Probably the only thing I ordered that I don’t have anything negative to say. It came with decent amount of lechong kawali, green mangoes and a lot of rice. This was also perfect for the kare kare since it’s mixed with bagoong.

All in all, I don’t think I will be ordering again unless they fix their servings. Filipino dishes unless marketed as a combo or single serving are generally made enough to share with family. Avoid This Place at All Costs — Worst Experience in Ontario (Maybe Even Canada) This has been, by far, the worst food ordering experience I’ve had — not just in Ontario, but possibly in all of Canada. There’s a reason why some businesses struggle to compete: poor customer service and an alarming lack of professionalism. Due to a miscommunication between DoorDash and this store, my order was picked up by a driver even though nothing had been prepared. Mistakes happen — that’s understandable. But what made this situation unacceptable was the store’s response. After waiting over an hour, I called to clarify, only to be answered by an incredibly rude woman who clearly had no training in basic customer service. She was dismissive, completely lacked empathy, and instead of helping, went on a tirade blaming DoorDash. No apology. No solution. No accountability. She even put me on hold under the pretense of resolving the issue — only to find out she was chatting with a colleague about another order. Absolutely unprofessional. Businesses like Bella’s Lechon need to understand that success doesn’t rely on food quality alone. Many restaurants thrive not just because of what they serve, but because of how they treat their customers. Unfortunately, Bella’s Lechon fails on both counts — with poor service, no crisis management skills, and a staff that clearly lacks proper training. I will never recommend this place.
