DEPLORABLE As a front-line healthcare worker, I have the utmost respect for majority of those restaurant workers who have served throughout the pandemic.  I understand the stresses and heightened demands.... But there is NO excuse for my experience at this restaurant. (I will be making the video available on social media and posting a link for those interested) SUMMARY: Multiple health code and food handling violations captured on video. The manager demanded I stop recording, attempted to take my phone, refused to refund my payment and assaulted me. He then called 911 falsely reporting that he was assaulted (He apparently forgot that I as well as the numerous restaurant cameras captured the incident) Absolutely inexcusable experience. After ordering almost an hour ahead of time I arrived to pickup my VALENTINE'S DAY dinner for my family...The order was wrong. While waiting, I heard the customer beside me complain she had been waiting almost an hour due to their third mistake with her order.  I watched as the manager who was working the cash, walked over to the food prep area and begin to assist with making customers meals. No hair net, no washing hands, Not even a squirt of alcohol gel.  Pandemic or not, that is unacceptable after he was handling cash, and whatever else he had touched throughout the day/week.   I politely asked if he could wash his hands before he did any food work.  He replied by arguing that he would be using tongs and so his hands were not touching the food .  I had to point out to him that all the other employees also used those tongs, and they would then touch food with contaminated gloves.  He BEGRUDGINGLY walked over to the sink, ran his hands under the water for approximately 3 seconds (I saw no soap used), then back to food prep.   I continued to video as I observed those tongs from the floor, back in the food prep area.  As a worker shaved the Gyro I had ordered, I noticed large pieces falling onto the dirty table below the Gyro cooker.  Those pieces of course were then thrown in with the rest of my meal.    The manager then approached me and told me I COULD NOT video in the restaurant.  I explained to him that taking videos in any public area is completely lawful, and welcomed him to call the police of he felt I was doing something illegal.  He said he was going to call them, but then he reached to grab for my phone.   Our interaction continued as I explained I was recording due to my observations, and that I simply wanted to have the meal I ordered and not have to worry if it's been contaminated by staff who have no regard for health and safety laws.  When the manager demanded I leave, I asked for a refund and stated I would leave.  He initially held out cash, but when I reached for it, he pulled it back and said "delete the video".   He actually did this multiple times, like one child taunting another with a toy, it was quite humiliating and sad.  He called the onwner and handed the phone to me.  Unfortunately I could not hear or understand anything the owner was saying other than "can't video".   At this point I gave the manager one more chance to refund my money willingly.  As he continued to refuse if I did not delete the video, I left.   As I was in the vestibule between the 2 doors, the manager ran out with the money held out in front of him, but then pulled it back again saying "delete the video".   I timed my reach perfectly as he began his taunting presentation of my refund amd I grabbed it.  As I turned to walk out, he shoved me into the glass door.   Thankfully that was the extent of his violence and I was able to get away.  I of course called the police NON URGENT phone number to make a report of the incident.  As I was speaking to an officer, she informed me that the restaurant manager was on the 911 emergency line reporting that someone (me) had attacked him. Short version of the ending is that it does not pay to lie and I am following up with Toronto Police Services to determine what action will be taken against the manager.

worst drive thru experience i’ve ever had. - when i was ordering at the box/menu the worker didn’t confirm with me i was done ordering and had just disappeared on me. i wanted 2 chicken gyro boxes and 1 drink. when someone finally started speaking again it was a different person and they probably thought i was making a new order. miscommunications occurred and they thought i was ordering items i don’t want. after clarifying that i just wanted my two boxes and a drink, the drink i wanted was unavailable. okay that’s fine i’ll skip the drink - i move up to the window. i’m there for 10 minutes, no worker has come to acknowledge or greet me. another car in the driveway pulls up behind me. we wait another 10. i look in the window, the workers are no where near the window. no eye contact. no acknowledgment. no update. the car behind me is done waiting at that point and decided to park. that person goes into the store, and this point still no one had greeted me or given an update - after the person behind me has gone in i see them walk to the counter from where i was at the drive thru. only then did a worker come up afterwards to greet me and have me pay. maybe they forgot about the drive thru and needed a reminder. - i wait another 7 minutes for my food. the driver of the car behind me has already gotten their food, go in their car, and left. i’m usually very patient and that’s why didn’t leave after the first 10 minutes of not being greeted but i think this is kind of ridiculous i understand the food might take a while to be made but at least let me know that you know i’m here and that it’s in the works. the food is fine. it’s good for its price. if you don’t want to serve the drive thru then don’t have one.

We had the most uncomfortable moment when the person in charge of the salad area not only couldn't comprehend my request but also started arguing blocking the line. She was supposed to help with the salad only, the other lady would help me with the other side dishes and main course. I told her that I would like everything for the salad but onions, she asked me if I wanted rice and potatoes, why? because depending of what I want that's how big or small the sides would be? That's not right! After I went to the other lady I said "Now I will tell you what I would like from your area." It's so frustrating to be asked that way because if there are 2 people each from different areas, Why she cares if I want potatoes, rice or both?? It doesn't matter, the quantity of the food should be the same. Horrible service, the manager didn't do anything just stood by the door, no forks not napkins, charged us for the bag, NO! We're not going back there, Now I see why was empty when we went. My husband ordered a chicken souvlaki and he got almost nothing!! When I see on other Malls there's a Mr. Greek my husband already knows what I would like to eat, but after this horrible experience. I'll think it more than twice if I would like it again. I have pictures to show how empty his plate looks like compared to mine and it's not because there's no salad. And the chicken was dry. So Disappointed! Edited: Now Mr. Greek said it's not their food... They don't recognize their own take out food!!??😮🧐 Ridiculous!

I don’t ever leave review at establishments but I felt obligated this time and if I could leave a negative star I would. But I would never in my life on living on this earth recommend this place or ever visit any Greek establishment ever again. I am traumatized. I am currently bed written with food poisoning me and my wife are both bed written. Unable to move and are vomiting and have an extremely high fever and it’s from this place 100% I had a feeling when I got the food also . I just wasn’t certain but oh no I definitely am. I ordered the chicken gyro box with fries also got chicken gyro kids meal for my litter 2 yr old son. THANK GOD HE is a picker eater and didn’t eat the chicken only the fries. Other wise he’d be experiencing this also. My wife got the chicken souvlaki platter the chicken was extremely chewy. But I know forsure the food poison came from the chicken gyros. It looks so off and it came out way too quick but I couldn’t tell cuz it was seasoned and masked under everything. My wife also was eating my food with me but I didn’t touch hers. That’s why I’m certain it was the chicken gyro. Her plate was cold also the rice was cold and potatoes weren’t very good. The only thing that was decent was the salad unfortunately. I was to reiterate that I will never visit any Greek food restaurants ever again I’m put off from that whole genre of food now. Which is unfortunate. But I am currently dying in bed. Haven’t eaten since that meal all I had was pepto besmo and water. I just thought I’d share and warn you all from ever...
