A Latin and Asian fusion cafe!! GREAT, FUN owners!

Originally visited on September 28! ☺️ I had extra time before a work event and came here for breakfast! I was drawn to the name of the coffee shop, and thought the yellow chairs outside were cute.

For food, I ordered the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and Groovy Smoothie. Everything was soooo fresh!! I had ask the owner his name (Rolando) and told him I could taste how fresh everything was. He was so happy to hear this and shared that he makes everything in the morning! 🥐☺️

I also asked him where the name Capulus came from and what inspired him to use this name for the cafe, and he said that in Latin, it means coffee.

We chatted a bit about the cafe! His business partner is from the Philippines, which is why they have a lechon inspired sandwich (without the crackling) and she taught him how to cook it. They also have drinks like ube lattes. They're a fusion cafe, which is why their menu has Latin and Asian inspired food! 😃

It is a cozy cafe, and I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I did hear Rolando say that they get the same customers coming to the cafe 2 to 3 times a day 🥹 which is...

It’s unfortunate that I did not have the nicest experience at this cafe when majority of their customers posted such high reviews.

I ordered their croissant sandwich and it was really tasty. Made fresh and delicious. However, what I can’t understand is that the owner made me wait for customers who came AFTER me. On several occasions, this happened to me. There were 3-4 people who came after me and ordered coffee, and they will be served first. So each coffee orders will take approximately 5-7 mins of wait time so I have to wait for about 20 mins for these customers and then wait for another 10 mins for my own order. I’m confused because shouldn’t they do first come first serve basis to customers? And what makes the owner thinks I’m willing to wait that much time in order for him to serve the people who came after me? The service is mediocre and as much as I’d like to support local businesses, this one is really hard to. I can only hope their...

I just had a great time visiting the team at Capulus. I'll start off by saying the staff including owner were fantastic. Super friendly, helpful and they walked me through the whole menu witch was nice because I didn't feel pressured or rushed. The cashier was super friendly and made good conversation while the food was being prepared. I would say the pulled pork wrap needed a little more of a wow factor or even a sauce like an aioli or Chimmichurri. The amaericano coffee was spot on and im looking forward to trying a couple more things on the menu. Good little spot to have in the neighborhood, and I know I'm late to the game since they have been open for months, but WELCOME!

Just recently visited this coffee place for the first time. It’s a cute little local coffee place where you can obviously grab a drink and some good sandwiches or baked goods as well. The barista was extremely friendly and nice, who just really improved my mood that day. I got a Cappuccino and a sandwich with chicken. The sandwich was really good, the coffee was ok too but a little too hot at the beginning, so I had to wait for it to get a drinkable temperature. Other than that I had a really great experience in here
