Caribbean Heat 1 Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

I've discovered this place in the mid 90's when I was frequent in that neighborhood & it always reminds me of that Nastalgic feelings of growing up as an English speaking South American & my love for South American/Caribbean Chinese foods , would always pop in there to get takeout or Dine-In .... I also loved going there whenever my Out-of-town relatives visited & would asked for some Gourmets dishes that was of my Go-to places to visit......

Fast forward to Covid-Age I live on the Danforth & have travelled down there to get takeout & on the second occasion I noticed that the prices on the take out menu didn't add up to what I paid & I questioned slightly rude & abrupt middle-aged Asian gentleman this was when he informed me of the price changes which is NOT reflect their menu....been there twice afterwards & the situation still remains the same including the Rude gentleman who really needs to buy a clue by not pissing off your loyal customers in this Covid era... Get new menu cards which showsCURRENT pricing this...

Steer clear way better options out there for the price. I came today March 10th for combo for one 17 vegetable fried rice and vegetables on top. I normally go to friendship restaurant Victoria park/Sheppard ave East for the same dish and it's a way better deal. Let's compare Carribean heat has combo For one 17 veggie fried rice for $12. Friendship as same dish for only $8.50. Friendship gives me in a large container not small/medium container they don't charge for extra veggie ok top. It's already in the rice and they put chunks of broccoli,cabbage, and carrots. Understand your a business but your robbing for people simpe rice and a few veggies in small container. Don't waste your money or time go elsewhere for say better value of food and way cheaper price than these cooks. Charging me almost $16 for literally rice and few vegetables. I was disappointed with the quality of food I had at this location recently. I ordered my favorite hot pepper shrimp with vegerable fried rice. I noticed the rice was laden with eggs which I've never noticed before. I took one mouthful of the rice and noticed it was brunt. I had already left the location and I was hungry so I tried to eat more. Now I'm a vegetarian, seafood and vegetable is what I do, no chicken, beef etc. As I got further into eating the meal I found hair, then chicken pieces in the rice...wow...then other meats. I called and shared my concerns and was offer a 10% discount off my meal for the next visit if I couldn't return it back to the store same day. I was not pleased. Several hours later I returned to the store, by this time I had eaten the shrimp. The MGR decided that since I ate the shrimp he withheld $3.00 back. Can you imagine this? I have had excellent service at the Rexdale and Brampton location thus far. I will take a while before going back to...
