I didn't want to go this far as posting a bad review & pic of my experience with this restaurant. I tried reasoning with the owner of the restaurant to no avail. I bought an order of food from this restaurant on April 25th 2021. I ordered 2 caribbean wave fried rice and 1 caribbean wave low mein and 2 large orders of curry chicken. This food was for a birthday dinner for my son. I picked up the food and brought it home and opened it. Right away the putrid smell of rotten cheese emanated from the curry but there was an over powering smell of masala mixed with it. I saw right away that the curry displayed a whitish foam on top. I thought maybe the food was just hot and thus that is where the foam came from. I fed the family the food, as the taste did not seem bad and of course the smell of masala I thought maybe they used a different type of curry. End result, the next day my whole family experienced vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days ( food poisoning). I contacted the restaurant the very next day and spoke with the owner Krish, who asked me to send a pic that I had taken of the food. I did so and his response to me was that he was sorry and that he would not have fed that food to a dog as he noticed that it looked rotten. He began to go on that he did acknowledge that the food did come from his restaurant but that he didn't know why it was spoiled ( because supposedly the curry came from a fresh pot) and served to his customers from someone in his kitchen. I asked for a refund which he tried to compensate me with " fresh curry or whatever I wanted " which I advised him that I was not interested in eating any food from his restaurant ever again. After bout 20 mins standing in his restaurant and listening to him trying to defend (and then denying) the reason of me receiving the rotten food, he tried to reason with me over the refund and ended up refunding me only for the cost of the rotten curry $25.00 + tax = &27.00 ( I paid $69.00 for all the food in total ). I sent him a text basically explaining that as a restaurant owner who is supposed to value his customers and provide FRESH & EDIBLE FOOD, he refused to respond. So I have no other choice but to write this review. I just want people to be aware of where you purchase food to consume as I clearly have learned my lesson. My next call is to the Health Dept. UPDATE So as I can see the manager / owner of the restaurant needs to lie to keep up his charade of serving DIRTY ROTTEN food. Yessss BOSS, continue to serve food that makes ppl sick. I made the mistake of NOT reading the reviews before purchasing and if I had read the reviews I would have realized how your establishment operates. Regardless I will not go back and forth with you. You served me food that made my whole family sick and you refuse to take responsibility, definitely shows who you are as a person. People, BEWARE OF WHO YOU BUY FOOD FROM !! This RESTAURANT is a prime example that you cannot eat from any and everywhere !! ANOTHER UPDATE RESPONSE You can stop with your BS about food being left out. The only food that was LEFT OUT WAS THE AWFUL FOOD YOUR DIRTY RESTAURANT SOLD TO ME. After much research and reviewing a lot of these reviews on your "establishment you call a restaurant " I CAN CLEARLY SEE what your habits are !! You sell OLD NASTY SPOILED FOOD to your customers, that sits for days on your kitchen counters. I am not the only one who complained about getting sick. Please review the link that you left, because you obviously don't adhere to it. You must of received a visit from the Health Dept and if you didn't, I hope you do soon !! STOP serving spoiled food !!
UPDATE You passed because I GAVE you the heads up that they were coming and to clean your DIRTY KITCHEN !! Any person with common sense would know that. Be on your tippy toes because they will be making RANDOM VISITS. Don't worry I can guarantee you will definitely make someone else sick with your rotten spoiled food and next time you won't be so lucky. Work on your PROFESSIONAL skills because you...
Read moreOne of my relatives recently visited this restaurant to pick up a takeout order and unfortunately encountered some very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from the staff. After placing and paying for her order, she noticed several containers on the counter and mistakenly assumed one of them was hers. When she reached for it, an employee immediately accused her of trying to take someone else’s food, speaking with unnecessary hostility and attitude. It was a genuine misunderstanding—she had no intention of taking anything that wasn’t hers. It makes no sense to accuse her of taking another order as she already placed and paid for her own. To make matters worse, the actual customer which seemed to be the employees friend also wrongly assumed my relative had stolen it, despite the situation being clearly accidental. Instead of calmly clarifying the mix-up, the employee escalated the situation and even commented on the fact that my relative hadn’t left a tip. For the record, tipping is entirely optional and should never be used as a basis for judgment or mistreatment. This entire interaction could have been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. A simple, respectful explanation would have resolved the confusion without resorting to accusations...
Read moreI'm just a visiting tourist from NYC that was craving Caribbean food after asking around the locals recommended Caribbean Wave, I decided to try it out because so many people recommended it. Upon entry I was shocked at the menu this establishment had merged Caribbean food with Chinese food. My first instinct was to steer clear from that and order a simple Curry Chicken with Rice & Peas only for me to be told that they were completely out of anything Curry. I then decided to be a little adventurous and ordered the Jerk Wave lo mein that had jerk chicken laid out on top with shrimp, beef and chicken mixed in. One bite in and I knew I had mad a terrible mistake. The lo mein was absolutely disgusting, the sauce the noodles were stirred in was definitely not soy sauce, the beef was mushy and unseasoned, the shrimp was super tiny and crunchy and the chicken was definitely not chicken it was some mushy mystery meat that was bland at the very least. Completely disgusted with the lo mein I decided to try the Jerk Chicken and that was horrible too. I was a bit apprehensive about the jerk chicken because it looked like pork ribs. Overall 0/10 I do not recommend at all. This place needs to stop parading itself as a...
