In summary: Excellent lamb kebab, average service, below average ambiance. Will go again by myself but not with family.
We ordered 9 items off the menu and I do eat different food so I belive my review is fair.
This place is an acquired taste. I personally loved it and found it excellent. This is a place for lamb meat lovers. Children, families or people who don't like smell of lamb meat will not like it.
All food items were cooked really well. Presentation of food was good as well. What I liked was lamb kebab combo. The grilled chunks of fat along with meat made it taste heavenly. I liked fried Uyghur noodle very much. Polo rice was good, however very fatty with chunks of fats thrown in (and that's what I loved). The naan bread were NOT Uygur ones. They were commercial arabic style naans and I would not bother ordering it.
Service was just ok. They took our order promptly. Had to ask for water, it didn't arrive automatically. And also had to ask for it twice. Plates didn't arrive automatically either. I do understand they were full, but there were enough people to service; just didn't feel anything special.
Prices seemed fair. Not too expensive; not cheap either.
The location is not the best. I felt uneasy in the neighborhood especially at the night time. Don't know what's the crime rate there. I would worry driving in an expensive car there or late night trip.
The restaurant didn't seem to be heated, family felt cold and we had to leave as soon as we were done.
This is not a place to bring family or girlfriend. They might not enjoy it as much. This is a place for guys...

Read moreCame many times with friends, always loved the food, but not a pleasant experience tonight….
At the end of the dinner, when my bf went pay for the bill, he took very very long time. I then approached and he said all his cards got declined, both physical cards and Apple Pay. So I tried my card, got declined too. I was confused then asked if there was any issue with the machine, the girl smiled and replied in an uncomfortable way “But only with you”. What does that mean???? It was a near implication that we maxed out all cards.. Then she called me to the back and use another machine, I tapped and it went through right away, yeah one tap…
Wasting more than 15 mins and leaving so many transaction records on both our card statements. My bf’s bank did not display refund right away. His was showed charged 4 times, so we asked to get print receipt copies for the declined transactions. They said “We don’t have these at our store.” I don’t even get any sorry from them for wasting our time and obviously the issue was from their machine, not from“all our cards”.
I hope we don’t need to waste more time to go through card dispute and spend time explaining with our banks for any repeated charges….I understand sometimes there could be signal/connection issues at any restaurant, but what this restaurant said to customers literally...
