Today took my sister and mom there for a meal and it was most disastrous & disappointing experience. The waitress didn’t show up for 10min. Then it took another 10 min to get menus. Asked for water but she disappeared.

Didn’t serve any water or cutlery til after the food arrived. Had to ask for water twice, then for hot sauce twice and for take out container three times. She disappeared for long periods and there was no else around, only one other server at the bar.

Thought things couldn’t get worse. But then she came over and rushed us to pay before we had a chance to finish. And while we were packing the take home package she came rushing back trying to clear the plates and knocked over an entire bowl of soup over my mom’s white dress and spilled some on mine!!!!

Waitress briefly mumbles an apology and says she will pack another soup. No mention on my mom’s ruined dress or the mess she created. My mom was so upset she got up and left to the car. I realized this waitress has never worked in the service industry before so I went to the lady at the bar hoping she can compensate for my mom’s dry cleaning or at least discount the bill.

BUT her only response was oh her dress got soup on it? Would you like a club soda for that?!!! The server returned with a new soup and said here you go this will make up for it. SERIOUSLY how are you running your business??? and what kind of wretched customer service is this???

This will be my last visit to this establishment. If you can’t respect your customers or have trained servers then you don’t deserve my business.

If you are planning to go there ask for another server than the Sharon...

We just by chance got an opportunity to try the food from here from a lady who bought some and brought it to the school my wife and her works at for the staff and she tried the different dishes and feel in love with the taste. Coming to find out it was from Windies. When she left work that day she got some on her way home for us and we've been hooked ever since. We've been back at least five to six times. I love the fried rice specials that comes with the fried chicken on top. Spring rolls are killer. The chicken is so good we've ordered that by itself. Really awesome food, generous portions and good service. At times they can be very busy during the week but that's expected with the quality of food they make. Keep up the good work.

11-5-2022 Had to adjust my rating as of today just based on the poor service we've received when dining in on now 2nd occasion. Nobody greeted us when we entered the restaurant, waited like five minutes before I asked someone who seemed to be working there if we just seat ourselves which he said yes. Long story short after placing our order and waiting and hour and a bit decided just to pay for the drinks we had and leave without the food which never came. Windies is a place I would go eat at every time I was in the east end. However, after last night’s treatment, I will NOT be returning. The customer service from our waitress, Sharon, was horrible to begin with and kept getting worse as the evening progressed.

We had to ask for simple things like ketchup and water multiple times. We were then rushed to pay without us even asking for the bill yet. The plates were being cleared before we had a chance to pack up our leftovers. In the midst of that, she knocks over our bowl of soup on my mother and her white dress! An apology was mumbled and we were given a cloth to wipe the dress but the mess on the floor and by our feet remained while we were seated there. It was not promptly cleaned up nor were we moved. The only compensation was to replace the soup and when we informed them how upset my mother was about her dress, the waitress literally said “well your takeaway soup was half full and now it’s full, so bye”
