If you know good Caribbean food and you know overnight and days old food you'd know that the reason why they are able to produce a wide variety of dishes so fast its because of this. It was my 3rd and last time at this place. I went there on a monday and the aroma of fresh food was booming. Went there on the Wednesday roti was good although it was refrigerated and heated( I know this because Dhal puri or any roti off a tawa produces crust) mine had none,That's fine it was delicious. My husband ordered stew chicken and rice and the chicken was fried and dipped in the sauce (Overnight left over fried chicken suspected). Oxtail was sweet..no flavor but it was soft . On the Friday I went there I ordered stew chicken and provision. The first smell of the plate was the smell of tainted meat. My entire plate smelled rotten. I took my fork and tasted and confirmed with my husband that it was indeed bad meat. I took it back and told the cashier. She called the cook. (Unfortunately they dont even know what tainted means). She told me everything was ok if I wanted it heated. Smh. Trying to convince me is tomato paste. Thats not how stew chicken is cooked anyways. The provisions were at leat 2 days old. I can tell because it gets soggy and plantains get brown outside. They sliced onions to make it look fresh, it was no where near fresh. The stew chicken was not fried and dropped in, it was now cooked in the stew. You know what's overnight from what's not. They put fresh meats in the bigger warmers because more is cooked for sale (nightly i suspect) and leftovers from during the day in the smaller warmers because they simply try to sell it out. The rice noodles etc is fresh, not so sure about the jerk. Dear Charley's, before your food kill someone please ensure your staff discard of bad food and not resell it. Make sure they are knowledgeable on what food is made from what. Make sure they know that dasheen bush is the same as calalloo bush! Oh! And when Caribbean food is cooked and seasoned properly, it becomes sweeter overnight, not taste bad and spoiled. You lost 2 customers in the same week you...
Read moreA unprofessional customer service! I was just here ordered my meal. Cashier puts EVERYTHING into 1 bag and I leave my bag burst right as I exit and all my food pours out and I go back to complain for a replacement sue to negligence on the cashier packing all my items into 1 bag the Manager was no where to be seen as I demanded to speak to them. The cashier quickly calls them and the Manager doesn't even care to hear what happen they quickly dismissed the cashier and said no replacement. I asked where the Manager was that she was so busy the cashier said she is out shopping. I would NEVER give my money and service to this restaurant with poor people skills and customer service. Very quickly to take my money which was $32 and I walked out with nothing and food on the floor outside. What kind of management would let this happen? Allow their customers to leave with not even the item/food they paid for. I wasn't asking for a refund as I was trying to support a business during tough times yet they couldn't do the rightful thing and replace my food. The cashier didn't even tell the Manager SHE packed all my food in 1 bag and it was her mistake! I didn't drop my bag-it all burst and dropped out of my hands. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Manager is too busy to run their own business and let's untrained Staff to have to deal with customers!!! Shameful.

Read moreI honestly had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. I was really looking forward to some good West Indian food, but everything about this place was disappointing. The food itself was far from authentic — bland, poorly cooked, and completely lacking the flavor and freshness you’d expect. Portion sizes were small for the price, and nothing felt worth what we paid.
But even worse than the food was the service. The lady at the front had one of the rudest attitudes I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, she acted as though we were an inconvenience to her. There was no greeting, no smile, not even basic courtesy. Every time we asked a simple question about the menu, she gave us dismissive and sarcastic answers, as if we were wasting her time. Her tone was sharp, unwelcoming, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
Restaurants are supposed to make customers feel valued, but this was the complete opposite. A bad meal is one thing, but being treated with such arrogance and disrespect by the front staff completely ruins the experience. If this is the face of their customer service, it explains why the place was practically empty.
I will never come back here and would strongly advise others not to waste their time or money. There are plenty of other West Indian spots that actually care about their food and their customers — this one is...
