Update Liked their new Bangla Chinese menu. Kudos for trying something new. Good thing is they are improving. This is the best Bangla Chinese available in Toronto with no doubt. Fried Rice, Chowmein and Beef Chilli Onion are quite close to the original taste (although theres room for improvement). Chicken Chilli Onion was kind of a let down and probably requires a new recipe.
Tried their food many times. Its an improvement over most other old Bangladeshi restaurants here, but still needs a lot of improvements.
The Mezbani: Choice of meat is important when cooking Bangladeshi cuisines like Rezala and Mezbani. The pieces should be soft and fatty with a well mixture of shank and ribs. Tried their beef Mezbaani. Dry and hard pieces of meat. Comparatively Lamb Mezbani is better! The price was premium but the taste wasn,t!
Hashbhuna: Recommended for taste. This is my favorite item in this restaurant. However the pieces can be disappointing. You will hardly get leg or thigh piceces in this curry and its a bit pricey.
Kacchi Biriyani: Tastes different in a good way than most biriyanis here. But nothing exceptional.
Bihari Luchi: Good taste but some might find it saulty! Quantity insufficient! The salads used with the kebabs are not a good match. Koodos for the creativity but I would prefer a simple bengali style onion cucumber mixture on top of my kebabs!
Chicken Chaap: Tastes pretty good but its actually not the Chaap you would get at Puran Dhaka. Tastes more like grilled chicken with mustard sauce.
Haleem: Really disappointing. I couldn't trace any meat! Taste wasnt good.
The Salad: The salad they use looks creative but doesnt taste good and doesnt go well with most Bangladeshi dishes.
Overall I recommend the restaurant to Bangladeshis as there are not a lot of quality Bangladeshi restaurants here. Although its a bit pricey for the food it offers, I would still put it on top of many old Bangladeshi restaurants here. Thumbs up to the restaurant management for the effort and creativity but you have a long way to go with lots of...
Read moreOn New Year’s Eve, we ordered food and had our friend picked up the food for us since they lived close to their location but when our friends got there, the people at the restaurant won’t give them the food claiming that we need the person whose name is on the order. they also mention that apparently people pretend to be the person picking up the food, but actually stealing them. That’s why they won’t give our friends the food that we ordered. We even spoke to them and even sent screenshots of the order but still, they refused to give the food to our friends after talking to them for an hour regarding this. In the end we had to go there to pick up the food and we tried calling them while we were on the way, but nobody picked up. And to compensate for all this hassle, they gave us free roast. Now coming to last week, we again ordered from them, and this time the person who had actually ordered the food went in person to pick up the food so that the last incident wont to repeat but this time something new happened. When we got there to pick up the food, they said we have to wait as the food was not prepared. We understood and came back after 15 minutes to pick up the food and the manager tells us that some Uber driver took the food and mind you we ordered two bags of food, that’s like four trays. How can someone take the food just like that? Then they made the food again apparently and we had to wait another 20 minutes. This food was ordered three days prior to this online. We came at our pick up time right before Iftar, and still disappointed that the food was not ready, and then, when it was ready, it was gone with someone else now when we asked for the manager, the person who was responsible for the food was the manager. This is the last time I will ever order from this place the food which was made later was so bad , I could not even imagine that I have to go with so much hassle twice in a row. You should definitely change your manager and fix your...
Read moreI ordered eight beef kacchis, and then I changed my order to seven beef kacchis and one mutton kacchi. The employee said he could change it, but he didn’t. It’s also very expensive, $16 for Beef Kacchi. Are you mentally ill? The taste of the food is nasty! Borhani is also very nasty! A health inspector should visit this place! The beef has a lot of fat, and everything is under-seasoned. I wasted $200 on nothing. It’s the nastiest thing ever! Don’t go to this place. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Don’t go to this place no matter what!! Bye, this is the nastiest kacchi I’ve ever tasted!
They replied to me and said I was a liar. When they lied about me, If you eat this kind of biryani, you'll get literal heart disease." I ordered it because they falsely advertised their food on Facebook. They took another restaurant's food and said that it was theirs to make their food look good. It is made of 75% oil, 29% beef fat, and 1% Biryani. They have the worst customer service and a nasty attitude. Don't go to this place at all costs. I threw it in the trash because it was so nasty that it gave me food poisoning. I have been living in Canada for 20 years and have never had nastier food than the kacchi I tasted from you guys. Do you know what Kacchi Biryani is? Because your Kacchi Biryani looked worse than my vomit. It tastes like a rotten meat corpse. Nobody in their right mind would go to your restaurant! This isn't Bengali food; it's garbage. If it tasted good, I would have bought it for $1000. If I had known your food tasted like garbage, I would have never ordered it! Lol, How pathetic that you guys say I'm lying. When you knuckleheads are fictitious liars.I hope people don't fall into your trap like I did. This is what you call the biggest waste of money. I hope nobody ever tastes your food, It tastes worse than rubbish. They called me a beggar, When they beg you to support them! Bye, Please don't visit this restaurant...
