Pariwar House — Restaurant in Toronto

Dad wanted khichuri, so I called ahead and ordered khichuri rice and masala mutton for pickup from fairly far away. Upon bringing it home, the khichuri barely had any lental/daal and the masala mutton was full of oil and there was barely any meat. The big pieces that seemed like meat was indeed bones, which was very disappointing especially since my dad was very hungry and we had to throw out majority of the curry as it was not consumable. I called back the restaurant and explained my concern, the host was unsure as to what to do so she passed the phone to the chef and I tried explaining the situation but he took it as I'm attacking his cooking, mind you I have also mentioned how the food tasted good but when I said there's no daal/lental on the rice and it's just yellow without much of the khichuri flavor, he asked me what country I was from (idk why he would ask that), when I said my origin, he giggled which felt very insulting and the mutton concern I had was disregarded by him.

I am a regular customer at the other location so I went to this one after seeing the reviews, and I went thinking I will have the excellent service like the other location, but instead I was very disappointed with the way the whole situation was handled because if you invite me again after sounding insulting, I am not gonna go back.

I am leaving a 2 star rating because it would be unfair if I said the food was bad, it wasn't bad and the host was nice, the rest of the experience is something I do not wish...

The pariwar restaurant in Lawrence is our neighbour, we used to order there because their biryani was pretty good. But we dont like their naan, any flavour, coz its soo hard, i even mention it to them everytime i order thru call, indirectly saying to the lady that, do u have any other suggestions for naan or roti, coz ur naan is so hard, but she just ignored. Then they close for sometime and said will open soon. We now used to go to the one in markham since we love their biryani, today I ordered again the naan(its hard naan but its edible) had no choice but to order it today, but when i got home and opened my naan. Oh my God, its so hard that its breaking into pieces. I mean, we are paying, u are charging, why u guys can’t serve us food properly???? Why u cant make or improve ur naan? Is it hard to make? Or if u cant give proper naan take it out from your menu. Im your regular customer , i love achari chicken and biryani,. But naan is ur basic food, why cant u guys make it atleast a little soft? I ended up making roti. And throw the naan. If i can find a better restaurant that served good biryani, i wont even look at...

Worst Worst service and management!!!!!!!!!!! We went on Sunday night for dinner for two. The place was not that busy as there were only two tables. We were told to sat by ourself inside and no one came to give menus as well, whereas the table next to us was was served water right away and their order was taken and we felt completely ignored. I tried to get the waitress attention but no-one came. We have been there two times before, last time also we were literally ignored and had to tell excuse me hundred of times to put our order. Went back just because of their curry is good but the naan is average. The service is always worst maybe the worker there doesn't love their job. Didn't wanted to write this review but this is not the only time this is happened to us.There is no point of opening a restaurant if you cannot take care of your guest and respect them. I hope this message reaches to the owner. Never ever...
