Chubby's Subs — Restaurant in Toronto

To start, the workers here are extremely friendly and helpful when it comes to recommending subs. The kind lady who prepared my sub went out of her way to put different sauces on cucumber slices for me so I could try them out before committing and getting it on my sandwich.

The actual sub was top tier. Right when I took the first bite the only thing I could think of was "that's fresh". The bread actually tastes and feels like real bread, I've gotten so used to Subway's weird rolls that I've forgotten what a proper sub should be. Also, the sandwich makers don't skimp on the topping, especially the meat. The subs are absolutely packed with whatever you want on them.

I went with my friend and for 2 footlong subs that were loaded with meat, the total after tax came out to 19$. That's less than 10$ a person for a hefty sub. Comparatively, had we gone to Subway the bill would've been north of 25$ for subpar subs.

Highly recommend this place as this is my new go to...

Kind staff and delicious sandwiches. Restaurant is really big inside with lots of seating available. They have really cool sports memorabilia on the wall too. The staff were very welcoming with warm smiles and kind attitude. The young who helped me was quick and efficient and helped me navigate through the process with patience. Another lady offered me a cucumber with a sauce I wasn’t even considering but it tasted so good I had to get it on my sandwich. It’s the little things like that which make a difference. The sandwich was neatly prepped, bread tasted fresh and served perfectly toasted. I got the turkey and bacon footlong and it was delicious. I would definitely get it again! I just loved my experience there. I got the good ol’ assorted (Friday special)and it was so loaded with ingredients and so very tasty. Also Lisa, who made my sub did so with so much attention to detail, and care- just care! I find that to be so rare these days! I made a comment about it and she got very serious and said something to the effect of well this is what I will be doing for the rest of my life, I better make it as perfect as possible. Otherwise what the heck am I doing?! This is me giving a bit of myself to you. The exchange between us was brief but I was so moved and inspired by this experience at this random find of a sandwich shop on a dark and gloomy Friday that I feel like that Google needs to know about it.
