I came across this place while driving to another neighborhood for an afternoon walk, and it caught my eye immediately, so I turned my car around and parked and decided to go here instead. I am SO glad I did! I love me a good coffee shop, and I also love jazz, so I saw this as a sign. The shop was so spacious with plenty of tables and room to spread out. We opted to stay by the front door so we could watch the birds and the traffic go by, and get some sun. I had a delicious cup of chai, and my company got coffees and cappuccinos. The dessert case was calling my name, so I got a salted caramel chocolate tart and split it with my friend. I am glad I did since it was so filling, and expertly made. I wish I had the room to eat everything in that case! The background music was exceptional- not just jazz, but jazz inspired sounds, with a mix of instrumental and vocals. It was the perfect blend- exactly the kind of vibe I try to make at home, but itβs never as relaxing as it is when I am out. The interior was cozy, warm, and slightly eclectic but not in a disharmonious way. The smell of freshly ground coffee permeated the entire place and the large professional machines were a nice touch to see when I walked in. This was one of the best places I have been to in Toronto, because of the feel and the vibe, and also the quality of the offerings. I wish I was here for a night concert which was advertised on their flyers. Oh, and the staff- I canβt forget them- they were incredibly lovely, very sweet and friendly. They laughed quietly at our inappropriate conversation that we were having nearby (the cafe was empty so we felt free) and that made us feel like we were part of...
Β Β Β Read moreI've lived in Roncesvalles Village since 2016 and have frequented Coffee & All That Jazz since. Though when the new owners took over a few years ago, I noticed wonderful improvements overall. Yes, their coffees are supreme, but so are their desserts and meals. Their homemade banana pudding is the best I've ever enjoyed and the daily vegan soups are perfection. The service is warmly welcoming and efficient. You can sit down in their jazzy music atmosphere cafe or in good weather, have a seat outside. Unfortunately since Tim Hortons opened on the same block, too many are overlooking this precious place, so I feel compelled to remind those who prefer true quality in every aspect, to support this wonderful...
Β Β Β Read moreI love this spot for meetings and for solitary work. I had no idea the owners had retired but was happy to try out the new management. The sad thing is the food (I often came for a lunch meeting) has gone from terrific to terrible. First try the bok choi soup and tuna sandwich. The soup was watery and tasteless. The tuna (always my go to here before) sandwich was TERRIBLE. The tuna was dark and the add ons bland. Next time I tried bean soup and egg salad sandwich. The soup had about 4 kidney beans, a couple bits of potatoe all swimming in red, flouryβ¦.gunk. And the egg salad was tasteless. I will return for meetings and coffee. But...
